Who was Joni Mitchell singing about? David Geffen, up until the Auto-Tune Era, Geffen determined what got on the air. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant loved Joni Mitchell, they wrote Going to California as a tribute to her. Geffen signed Led Zeppelin to record for WEA, while he was the CEO.

Nope.

Led Zeppelin signed with Atlantic Records in 1968. Ahmet Ertegan was CEO at the time. Geffen's career was transitioning from mailroom clerk to agent in 1968. He wasn't a record executive until 1971.

Geffen signed Joni Mitchell to his Asylum Records label when he was CEO, but only after she had released four albums on the Reprise label. His only involvement with Led Zeppelin was an unrequited crush on Robert Plant.

Hmm...songs with/about radio...which one is best?

Spirit of Radio - Rush
Radio, radio - Elvis Costello
Radio gaga- Queen

If you don't know the tunes then GET OFF MY LAWN!!
LOL

I might be slightly in favour of the Live Aid version Queen's Radio ga ga

All fantastic tunes
Rush is my choice of those 3. But my favorite 'radio' song is between these

Well done lads you brought up some excellent songs about radio! Left of the dial, Mexican Radio, Radio Free Europe get a particular fine bounce in my step...but great work all!
