Not having any luck with really good dark chocolate. Any good brands? I am getting tired of milk chocolate.

It seems that all the dark chocolate I've had so far is very hard and doesn't melt in your mouth, almost waxy. The milk chocolate I iike is very smooth and creamy.

The only exception is the small dark Lindor chocolate balls, which are very smooth and creamy. All the chcolate bars are very hard, even ar 24 degrees celcius.

I would try gourmet chocolate makers.

Soma Chocolatiers
Purdy's

etc.,

Store brands I like Lindt Excellence 70%. I also like the Dairy Milk Dark Chocolate Almonds, and Dark Chocolate with Orange.
Thanks, I don’t want to spend money on premium brands if possible. Will try Dairy, milk dark chocolate, as their milk chocolate is good

If you're on a budget, m&m make a good dark chocolate bar but not sold everywhere and often hard to find. I do buy it at esso stations once in a while as they seem to have it. I also keep it refrigerated as it's better cold and hard, IMO.

Like Resetset said. Most bang for the buck right here. ^^^

Goes on sale from time to time.

As for storage, moisture in the fridge can also lead to “sugar bloom,” meaning the sugar rises to the surface and discolors the chocolate (which has no effect on flavor, but doesn't look too appealing). So instead of the fridge: Store it in a cool, dry place.
