I would say any of those big work related conference / Christmas type parties where you mingle with people beyond your direct team.

1. You have much less risk of pooping where you eat if its Susan from Marketing in Hamilton etc
2. Your position in the workplace already validates that you aren't a creep or loser.

Women are much less "stuck up" and easier to talk to than your average 22 year old in the bars.

Honestly, I've seen tons of average Joe's get tons of attention in those events. It is especially easy if its one of those big trips where everyone stays for the night.

It's probably been 5 years since I last did it...it was outstanding for me but it can be high maintenance, lots of baggage from selfish people.

I had various degrees of success with Craigslist casual encounters or men looking to meet women sections . Met women in Vancouver and Toronto. Met one in Vancouver that stayed over in my hotel , wouldn’t have sex but wanted to stick around all weekend . Had to tell her I wasn’t interested in being celibate . Met another gal who travelled down from Pemberton. We had dinner and I had no expectations but she had made plans to stay overnight with me at my hotel. We had a great night and the next morning kissed her goodbye. I’d average meeting a gal for short term stands about every second or third trip to Vancouver . ( I flew there once every two months for 25 years ) Met a half dozen through Craigslist in Toronto as well . They were all short term rentals though one went on for about 3 months . The thing is ever since Craigslist shut that dept down I’ve not found as good a replacement. I finding Match and POF not good at all for short term stuff . Any suggestions?

I also had decent success back in the 90’s with personal ads that I’d place before travelling . If I knew I’d be in a town for more than 2 nights I’d run an ad in advance and then pick up the replies . Worked fairly well actually though most of the girls were average looking just about all of them would be up for a toss in the sheets. Did a series of business trips to Sault Ste Marie for about 3 years and met quite a few girls . The girls from there were a little more conservative though. Had to change my name a few times because word would get around quicker in a smaller town .

Man, Lavalife in its heyday was the absolute, bar-none, best hookup site that was ever made. Those people who don't know about Lavalife truly have no idea what they missed out on.

In the early 2000s, that site was absolutely amazing. I'd even use it to meet women while I was travelling by posting profiles in their cities.

Lavalife still exists, but it is a shell of its former self. It's complete garbage now. They changed their site around 2010, and it has sucked ever since then.

But man oh man, from 2000 to 2010, that site was a sexual free-for-all.
