Could be that they swing from both sides of the plate.... umm... nope baseballblot2008 said:Swingman is a player that can play more than one position on the floor ie small forward and shooting guard.
I think you lost this one.... A guy that has placed in many places without really making an big impact is a journeyman...Choron said:Not the last time I checked...I thought that a swingman was a player that has played in many many places (ie a journeyman)...For example, he played for a few NBA teams before he went to Europe and Israel...
I'm pretty confident that I'm correct...
My high school coach would threaten to break our fingers if we did fingerroll layups... even if we had a breakaway layup and did a fingerroll, we would be running lines the next practice....newguy27 said:Although the term has been given a more liberall use over the last few years as everyone (even 7 footers) try to do the flashy stuff.
Well, you are more confident then correct in this case.Choron said:Swingman is a player that can play multiple positions????????

I agree. a backboard layup also is higher, reducing the risk of an unexpected block and increases the chance of a good rebound if it misses. Waaay too many hotdogs playing pros now. They should move the three point line back as too many shooter rely on 33% shooting to get by.slowandeasy said:Layup using the backboard is less risky.....he did not like showing off or hotdogging.... Even if we were just playing pick up in the gym and he noticed us showboating.... we were doing quarters.....
Great guy, great coach... believed in the "When I say Jump" you say "how high" approach to coaching.... Fundamentals, Fundamentals, Fundamentals.....

Choron said:so who else do we have who is going to give us 7 assists per game again?
Do you know that if you unscrable elegantangel, you get glen granwald (ok.. i'm stretching to get there...).... Obviously Colangelo seems to think Ford is his best option... seems to me that JKidd has been pretty successful without being a great shooter, JWilliams won a Championship without possessing a great shot... Remember Dennis Johnson from the Celtics glory days.... OMG... It was sickening... I am a celtics fan, but I even cringed watching him shoot...elegantangel113 said:was this really trhe best point guard out there that we could have hoped to pick up"?
...6. If he is lucky.Choron said:so who else do we have who is going to give us 7 assists per game again?
