To be fair to Glen, no one knew what D Wade was going to become.
I knew that DWade was going to be an NBA Stud (lol... hindsight is great).... but I really did not think much of CB4... I looked at CB4's gangly body, his awkward looking shot and thought this guy is going to get eaten up in the NBA....

Swingman is a player that can play multiple positions????????

Not the last time I checked...I thought that a swingman was a player that has played in many many places (ie a journeyman)...For example, he played for a few NBA teams before he went to Europe and Israel...

I'm pretty confident that I'm correct...
Im shocked that you posted again in this thread after this comment.

why are you so shocked...One can easily see how I could get the two confused...Very similar terms in the sound...What is so wrong about being wrong sometimes...Remember the old phrase: " you learn something new everyday"?

Why would you be an asshole? Do you really have that much sand in your vagina from the beach?

That's all I was looking for, I've often had to make posts saying that I was wrong but no need to try and come up with an excuse it happens.

Apparently Miami did :D

Pat Riley even said he had no idea that Wade would be the player that he is today. He knew he would be a great player but had no idea he would be the superstar that he is today. Remember when Miami drafted Wade, Shaq was apparently locked in long term in LA LA land. I believe that was the year they picked up Malone and Payton thinking they would win a few more rings. Miami was a team looking to rebuild with guys like Caron Butler and building around Lamar Odom.

Since it has been definitively established that a swingman and a journeyman are not the same thing, let's show some love to the journeyman. I know it doesn't sound good to say a player has been a journeyman, but the flip side of that is that the guy was good enough for somebody to want him at one time.

There are mediocre journeymen like Tony Massenburg, pretty good journeymen like Jim Jackson, and very good journeymen like Stephon Marbury and Sam Cassell.

I agree a journeyman often has a negative conotation..... a guy who wasn't good enough to stay with one team. But I think the previous poster is correct to say that the journeyman was still good enough that some team wanted him.

I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing to get a journey man because it's another way of saying experienced (e.g. seen a lot of team environments, played with a lot of good players, been in winning or losing teams, exposed to different coaching styles and strategies).
