Barber recommendation please.

My old school Italian barber retired

he was really good, people used to comment that I had better hair than Trudeau

I have tried a few new ones but all they know is some variation of the fade

bold on the sides and hair on top

can anyone recommend traditional barber

no fades please

During pandemic, I learned to cut my own hair, bought high quality "Wahl" brand electric clippers from Canadian Tire, only $40, you also need a hand held mirror. With the attachments, you can cut to any length.

Maybe try Googling either old school Italian barbers in your area or highly rates barbers in your area. if not ask your friends for their recommendations.

Same. Except I simply shave it all off. Due to a lot of professional athletes going through premature balding, I embrace the buzz cut look.

I won’t share him, but my Carlo is well into his 70s…. Looking after us. He’s such a good man. Loves his wife, kids and grandkids.

Up against him and all his volunteering, I feel like a bag of shit.

Try asking the guys at your work place that get a hair cut. Where and who are their barbers. Then ask if they know any old Italian Barbers.

Just try.

I could have written this. There's a couple of old school barbers that I know that basically use only scissors. They are not Italian...not the best or very friendly....but they get the job done.

And I don't think you're going to drive around the city to get a haircut. What neighborhood are you in?

There is an old school barber at Jane Park Plaza, Jane, south of Eglinton. Would take my FIL there. At the time, $20 included a $2 tip. Nothing fancy but it did the job. Haven't been there in a few years though.

I get hosed for $60 at a place close to home. Dude chats up a storm, younger and has a nicer place.

In the end, both provide hair cuts. Just hard to justify the increase.

even with an upscale salon it's a hit-or-miss sometime

used to go to fancy place on Bloor, they had a few "stylists" there

the girl that cut my hair was amazing, she was HOT and really good at her job

but she left and I tried few different ones but they didn't even come close to her
