A former banker at a Manhattan branch of Citibank is suing parent company Citigroup, alleging she was fired for being too hot, reports the Village Voice.

Debrahlee Lorenzana, 33, alleges she was getting into trouble over her outfits, and that her superiors, unable to concentrate, ordered her to stop wearing turtlenecks, pencil skirts, three-inch heels or fitted business suits.

She said other co-workers wore far more revealing clothing.

"They said their body shapes were different from mine, and I drew too much attention," she told the Village Voice.

According to the lawsuit, "as a result of the shape of her figure, such clothes were purportedly 'too distracting' for her male colleagues and supervisors to bear."

Her lawyer, Jack Tuckner, agreed that Lorenzana is a sexy woman, but said that shouldn't matter in the workplace.


"It's like saying that we can't think anymore 'cause our penises are standing up, and we cannot think about you except in a sexual manner and we can't look at you without wanting to have sexual intercourse with you. And it's up to you, gorgeous woman, to lessen your appeal so that we can focus," Tuckner told the newspaper.

I'm guessing one of her superiors was an ugly jealous female with a body shape opposite to her
any male who decided to fire her should be fired himself

It is the ugly fat fucks who are the FIRST to diss attractive women OR any women in that fact that have a human body shape ....... while these f.f. stuff themselves & no longer walk nor have the shape resembling a human. Worked at a bank years ago..... never liked those uncreative beuracrate types.

Banks are notoriously conservative so I'm not surprised. And remember, her boss could have been an ugly old hag who couldn't stand that she was getting all the attention.

After looking at some of her piks though, I suspect there were other outfits she was wearing that were inappropriate. She very well could be a desperate attention whore.

something has to be said about the ugly obese women in offices who just eat chips and chocolate and candy all day long and take the elevator up or down one floor and are sedentary all day at work only to go home and plant themselves on their couches in front of the tv.
They think they are helping themselves by eating low-fat chips and weight-watchers brownies but their brain cells must be clogged as well

Not sure but it's awfully hot down here.
I have to agree with ASN. She ain't all that. Shes attractive but.. I worked with a girl who was drop dead beautiful and when we went to lunch, all the dudes would stop in their tracks. lol I sure got a kick of watching those guys drool over her.

And in all seriousness ... no. Those outfits ... aside from the pantsuit, I think she had to have known the other ones, even though technically appropriate, on HER, would provoke attention to HER.

i worked with her at Citi...she dressed like a whore, came in late, would call out (claiming her son was sick meanwhile going to Vegas), was unprofessional, couldn't speak properly, couldn't acquire customers...her red sole heels were 4in platform peep toes that looked more like they belonged at at a strip club than at the office. She was more interested in her looks throughout the day than meeting her goals. btw...NOT wearing a bra while wearing a tight turtleneck in the middle of winter so everyone could admire her $15k boob job...yeah---um, that IS calling attention to yourself.
