The problem is trying to do business with them is difficult. The govt is so entwined with business there. They will steal proprietary knowledge, undercut deals, and let's not forget the two Michael's.Anything less would be reckless, ignorant and suicidal. We must abandon the misguided belief that we are always right while others are wrong, or that we can remain independent in a world that has moved beyond the Cold War mentality.
The Global South, led by China and the BRICS, will command a larger market, greater resources, and reduce our risk exposure. This is the path that Africa, Asia, and South America are already following—we cannot afford to lag behind.
Better heed the Japanese proverb "If you are on the wrong train, make sure to get off at the nearest station. The longer it takes for you to get off, the more expensive the return trip will be"
There are better markets to explore first.
