In fairness to Anderson he missed a bunch of time with injury. But I never liked the acquisition of his services in the 1st place.

Joe Malone wasn't a rookie in 1917. The other was Harry Hyland wasn't a rookie in 1917. They had been seasoned pros in the NHA that became NHL in 1917. Matthews is the 1st rookie to score 4 goals in his first NHL game.

Exactly Babcock's thinking. The Team defence needs work but this young Leafs team is going to be fun to watch.

Looks like Selanne's rookie record of 76 goals, Gretzky's 50 goals in 39 games and Gretz's 92 goals in a season are in jeopardy!!

That second goal was nasty, it had a 1% chance of succeeding. With the possible exception of McDavid and Ovechkin, Karlsson would have recovered the puck.

Never seen anyone in a Leafs uniform do that - let's see it again!

We're glad he chose hockey but one would have thought an American from Arizona would have chose baseball. Can you imagine if he is a star baseball player and also speaks Spanish.

He is on pace to score over 300 goals this season.

My guess is he may slow down a bit so I think 200 is realistic.
