Not true. The program and infrastructure for it existed under Mulroney and it was simply retasked to being nearly exclusively dedicated to Quebec nationalism. A funny fact is that when Chretien retooled it, he insisted all money spent be confined to Canadian companies, whereas Mulroney funneled the money to foreign buddies of his. So in one respect it was better because at least the money was going to Canadians.

You can check the Gomery testimony if you want. It is in there. One of the people involved in the scandal (don't ask me which one as I don't remember) actually corrected prosecution lawyers when they tried to say it was a program created by the Liberals. I nearly fell off my chair when I heard it.

Geez, by your logic we should abolish speeding laws as well? Just because people do it, that doesn't make it right. Does this mean if a large number of people started raping and killing others that we should make that legal too?

If a 14 yr old girl decides she wants sex I don't see what difference it makes if the guy is 16 or 50 otherwise you take away her choice.
Believe it or not some young girls seek it out rather than being victims of predators. Whether a girl should have sex at 14 is another subject .
