Man this is funny...
The stupidity is overwhelming and difficult to watch. I stopped after 1:17.

It might be funny, except that in light of history the spread of anti-Semitism is too serious of an issue to laugh at.

But thanks for posting to emphasize how these protests have nothing to do with Palestinian rights.

Actually they are getting smarter and more organized. Only using official spokespeople for messaging so less idiotic comments released. Masking to stop camera usage for facial recognition.

I have no doubt there are people protesting generically against the govt and some govt systems as well.

It’s still a minority. Most college kids want to study and get good grades, party and/both. These world events don’t track with most unless you’re in a very liberal college. These are just lost kids who’ve been brainwashed. Many don’t even go to the school and are just professional protestors

Of course it is. I was commenting on the organizing. I've seen footage of message unity, not speaking to journalists and vloggers. And that means they will have serious outreach.

This summer the grads may decide to have a summer of protest. A lot will depend on Rafah.

Will these "students" hack it out for the summer? Will Mommy and Daddy threaten to cut them off if they don't stop their childish games?
Why don't they camp out and protest in winter? Those tents can get pretty hot in the summer.

There is no reason for ALL students to know why exactly they are protesting. There are students who know why they are protesting and who organize these protests. There are others who join in to support their friends. There are still others who join in because "something is happening". However it is absolutely okay and expected for some students to not know why they are protesting.

Case in point, there are many pro-Israel supporters on this board, who know jack shit about the history of Israel and Palestine and simply keep repeating the same ignorant, and default racist and Islamophobic bullshit that support for Palestine is support for Islamic fundamentalism or criticism of Israel is antisemitism etc., Their motivations are not informed opinions, but rather pre-existing implicit biases, expressed as support for Israel or Jews in general.

Also remember a lot of these interviews are cherry picked and presented to push an agenda or narrative to make it look like the demands of the students are entirely unreasonable. I am sure you could interview knowledgeable students and present the exact opposite view and it would look like ALL the students protesting could run for the Presidency/Prime Ministership tomorrow.

Who pays for all the brand new green tents, food, water, whatever means of organized communication, etc?
None of that is free.
Movements require funding.
Just like BLM required funding.
There was no money behind BLM either.
Just grassroots opposition to racism.

I don't have 8 minutes to waste, so I watched the first bunch of people he tried to get a "gotcha" quote from. It seems to me, they were quite smart, deferring comments to the spokespeople. You could go to any large crowd of people, and there is a good chance that eventually you'll find some people who are ill-informed and willing to speak, and as the Dunning-Kruger effect proves, they will look/sound like idiots. I see it all the time from videos at MAGA rallies. Now, I'm not going to suggest there are Mensa candidates there, but some of the shit they say is mind blowingly stupid.

So, while not everyone will be able to articulate why they are supporting the protests, I don't think it makes them any less genuine.

Riiiiight so no one funded the acquisition of pallets stacked with bricks and strategically placing them at the major protest and looting locations and no one funded antifa to organize either hmmmmm 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah, because that did not happen.....outside of right-wing fever dreams....But the facts show this is just a conspiracy theory that took hold of those opposed to BLM/Antifa or what ever you want to call it.

Nonsense. Each protester may not be able to speak to the reasons of all other protesters, or even of the organizers, but surely they know their own reasons for being there/holding signs or flags/chanting (unless they are suffering from some form of mental illness, and have no power to reason). If the reason is "something is happening, and I just want to see what it is", that makes them a voyeur, not a protester.

I think an honest answer for a lot of them is "Someone promised me $100 and camping gear if I showed up here today, and said there's more where that came from if I hang around longer".
