Canada created the Lima Group of countries, and as chair of the group had quite a bit of influence, or at least headlines, when Ms. Friedland aggressively called for regime change and immediately recognized the puppet. What real influence did Canada exercise in overturning a Government in Venezuela?
Every single Party leader in Canada would have an opinion in that respect. The Conservatives would definitely take the same stand. But I do not see an alternative to Trudeau at the moment.
Do you, and who?
When I voted for the Liberal party last time, there was no call for regime change in Venezuela in their program.
I agree that the Conservatives would be worse, and I will not vote NDP, so I am sort of stuck. But how else can I protest what the Government did?
