Yes because those of us who got the first shot in late April or early March waited three to 3 1/2 months for the second shot when the manufacturer recommended 21 to 28 daysLook at the results. The delay ended up being less then necessary and even with less then 20% fully vaxxed the results are looking really good.
That is an impossible time frame.Yes because those of us who got the first shot in late April or early March waited three to 3 1/2 months for the second shot when the manufacturer recommended 21 to 28 days
But they had a choice to either get some people double-dosed within the manufacturers' time frame or get more people partially vaccinated/immunized with a single dose, which is what they did. They didnt have a choice due to supply so no they don't get credit.
That is an impossible time frame.
3 1/2 months from late April is mid-July. Today is June 21.
It was a dice roll. And they got lucky. But they had a choice to either get some people double-dosed within the manufacturers' time frame or get more people partially vaccinated/immunized with a single dose, which is what they did.
They/Trudeau made the right choice and deserve the credit for that.
So they made multiple good choices. They didnt have a choice due to supply so no they don't get credit. But they don't get blame either. It's Canadians who have stepped up in droves to get the shot I applaud. We just need to reach out to hopefully ten percent more to get it(the last 15 are to stupid) and we will be in great shape.
But Trudeau initially went with Cinofax Chinese Vaccine which is only 60% and even less on Variants. We dodged a bullet by having the Chinese fuck us over. So any benefits are NOT due to his leadership but happenstance and a dice roll.
I don't think that was the right call. I would have gotten anyone age 60 and over a 2nd dose before giving a healthy 20 something their 1st dose. Unless they were at a high risk of infection due to their job or living arrangements. But they had a choice to either get some people double-dosed within the manufacturers' time frame or get more people partially vaccinated/immunized with a single dose, which is what they did.
They/Trudeau made the right choice and deserve the credit for that.
That was the province. Fed procurement, province administration and roll out.But they had a choice to either get some people double-dosed within the manufacturers' time frame or get more people partially vaccinated/immunized with a single dose, which is what they did.
They/Trudeau made the right choice and deserve the credit for that.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.So they made multiple good choices.
Trying to get the first vaccine, switching to the better choices when it became feasible and then deciding to go with single doses at first.
And still you complain.
Fed procurement and single vs double doses. That was the province. Fed procurement, province administration and roll out.
What specific things could have been done better? It was a dice roll. And they got lucky.
As I said in another thread I credit the Scientists, Doctors, Military, Pharmacies, and Front line workers. And the Canadian People. They stepped up. No one, Trudeau, Ford et al get serious credit for any of it.
Honestly I think the world dodged one here. So many pandemics in the past killed so many more. We got lucky in comparison to case and death tolls. And no one politician turned the tide in any nation. We came this close to triage.
But if you think the present leadership we have did anything but muddle through and react after as opposed to plan ahead you weren't paying attention. Especially on border closures.
And just so don't think its partisan the govt does get full credut for CERB and CEWS in my opinion. It had to be done and it was done right.
Im giving them all a C grade. We are middle of the pack. And for anyone who points to vaccination rates thats Canadians stepping up. Whatever nation we are catching up to and surpassing they had availability first.
that nonsense has already been debunked many times. Stop living in the past. Canada was very early to sign for the vaccines, which is why we are ahead of most major nations today. Sinovax was just one option that was considered. They didnt have a choice due to supply so no they don't get credit. But they don't get blame either. It's Canadians who have stepped up in droves to get the shot I applaud. We just need to reach out to hopefully ten percent more to get it(the last 15 are to stupid) and we will be in great shape.

That is a provincial decision. Just like DOFO delayed vaxing LTC residents and thousands died. That was his decision.I don't think that was the right call. I would have gotten anyone age 60 and over a 2nd dose before giving a healthy 20 something their 1st dose. Unless they were at a high risk of infection due to their job or living arrangements.
It was a NACI recommendation, but yes the Provinces did have to adopt it. Quebec and BC moved before NACI and Ontario and AB waited. Hundreds died as a result. That was the province. Fed procurement, province administration and roll out.
That is complete rubbish The guidance was backed by data. What WAS a dice roll is the pathetic lockdown policies of DOFO, Kenny and Pali. All resulting in carnage and billions in economic losses when they came up SNAKE EYES.It was a dice roll. And they got lucky.
