Are SPs exploiting our addiction?

most of them I feel they are just actors who want my money!
No shit. And you just want their bodies. No one is exploiting you. You're doing this voluntarily.

A drug addict buys drugs voluntarily. Does that mean the dealers are not exploiting the addicts?
Depends on the drug. I don't believe sellers of alcohol, THC, nicotine or caffeine are exploiting their customers, unless they are targeting minors.

I have yet to meet an SP that's as addictive as heroin.

The OP has way over thought this and I personally think most of the posts in thread are thinking to deep.

Women in this country have the right to sell their body and making a living off of it. The service is there and available. Men can choose to buy this service, and accept the consequences that come with it, or choose not to. Lets not play the "addiction" card. Pretty much all men are "addicted" to sex. It's what makes us men or Christ sake. If your not happy with the outcome of participating in this hobby, stop doing it.

every time I "finish" with an escort, I am super happy, good mood and over the moon.
By the end of the day, I feel regretful, after the dent in my wallet and my "values" !
I cant help thinking that those ladies are just taking advantage of us, sex addicts. - Like an easy way to get our money!
I believe I am an addict, I cant help it - I try therapy for long. Its not working. I think it will only work if I unplug from the internet and all the temptations that come with it (social media, porn, movies, etc) which I find to be super hard to do.

Some SPs are so nice and you feel really at home with them during the "session" but most of them I feel they are just actors who want my money!

Sorry for the harsh "thinking out loud" post
Consider yourself fortunate to have so many amazing ladies here to choose without any fuss. Sting operations are prevalent in the US and your picture could be posted on the evening news for soliciting an escort for your employer, friends and family to see.

I speak for myself: my regulars are an indispensable part of my existence and I applaud them for putting up with my requirements

I had the whole night to think and the only form of sex work that I find exploitative for the clients is “findom” or in its long form, financial domination.

Ive seen many tweets saying things like “I’ve drained this man’s bank account”, “he said he couldn’t spend more but I made him send more” etc.

These men enjoy being dominated by a beautiful woman and when it gets dangerous, is that they can probably be easily manipulated because it’s part of the game and the appeal.

A lady sets her rate and a gentleman decides if he wishes to see her at that rate. Both have the power to control their narrative. I don't see some of my favs as they have priced themselves out of my range. She has the right to charge what she wants. And my right is to get my jollies elsewhere.

If your addiction is that you can't get enough, that's on you. If you decide to give all of your cash to a single lady, that's on you.

An alcoholic can't blame Molsons for selling beer. Same applies here.

From the movie Orgazmo

  • (Robyn Lynne Raab) "You pig, you're responsible for degrading all of those women."
  • (Ron Jeremy) "Equally degradable in pornographic films."
  • (Robyn Lynne Raab) "Men are always in a position of power."
  • (Rodgers) "They're the ones who want the product so bad, they're the victims."
  • (Robyn Lynne Raab) "Well, it exploits men by exploiting women."
  • (Ron Jeremy) "Hence, it exploits people."

Of course they are.
It does take a different type of women to do this job. Letting a stranger into a safe space to have sex with.
Alot of times I feel the same way you do on my way home after the deed. It's like "why did I waste my money like that"
But a few days later it's " hmm who's available today?"
Don't look at them with disrespect for making money off us. We use them for easy sex. So we are both(SP and John) in the same boat.
We use each other for what we want and need.
One could argue that the government is profiting from our alcohol dependencies via the LCBO. The flipside of living in a supposedly free and democratic society is that we are at liberty to allow our desires to consume us completely. It’s up to us to be moderate in our indulgences.

Suppose you suspected that one of your regular clients had developed a “sex addiction?” Maybe by getting to know him over time you begin to notice that he’s visiting more often, spending more money than usual, or something just seemed off?

Would you raise the issue with him? Cut him off?

Just wondering
Anyone in this for the wrong reasons - I will cut off from me personally. With an open conversation depending on the reason. So Sex addict, to use and dispose of women (ie angry man syndrome, as in taking their hatred out of women on me by wanting to cum all over my face. Over the guy who just loves to a see a pretty girl in a facial), over emotionally involved, etc.

This guy sounds like a ticking time bomb, I cut any client off with the quickness that I see have a "come down" after cumming, the ones you can feel bad about what we just did are the ones more likely to be violent. No ty.

It’s not exploitation at all… Rather, think of it as a symbiotic relationship of sorts. Both parties get what they want and walk away with no strings attached. In some cases, it can evolve as well. I’ve been seeing one lady for over 17 years and we’ve become friends. I feel it makes it a much more relaxed and intimate session when we see one another.

I'm going to tell you now you are thinking irrationally. Lady posts ad says 400$ hours. You respond to add and purchase .shes selling service. you get served. then you think she's evil for giving you a good time. here are video games there's an arcade in the 80s id spend my job paycheck at the arcade. ii was addicted to games. Should i hate the game or hate the player that has the high score i can't beat? Should i graffiti the arcade because i can't stop playing video games? Or should i just say to myself I'm addicted and i have to budget myself and if i can't control my spending then seek an addiction counsellor? but for god's sake do you not see how irrational your thinking is to be mad at women doing their job well?

I wouldn’t say the SPs are exploiting an addiction, but I would say whoever winds up with the money is exploiting a fundamental human drive.
You're almost on the right path, now lets apply this to shelter, food, and all services required for proper human development (health care, education, child care, etc), and you might be on to something.
