Nothing new. Hell, The Palestinians backstab their own Syrian/Palestinian refuges by refusing to take some in.

The UAE's al-Khaleej newspaper reported Tuesday that the 11 Egyptians were arrested last month after allegedly collecting security information about the UAE, holding secret meetings, recruiting members and sending large amounts of money to Brotherhood leaders in Cairo.

Muslim brotherhood cell arrested in Dubai.

UAE vice President and Governor of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid a senior Egyptian delegation to discuss the arrest of 11 Egyptians accused of forming a Muslim Brotherhood cell in the emirate.

Among the Egyptian delegation was presidential adviser for foreign affairs and international cooperation, Essam el-Haddad, and the head of Egypt’s intelligence services, Mohammed Rifaat Shehata.

A statement from Egypt's president said one of the envoys Haddad was carrying a letter from President Mohammed Mursi to the UAE President Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan.

Mursi is from the Muslim Brotherhood, which has emerged as Egypt's most powerful political force in the aftermath of the uprising that ousted longtime President Hosni Mubarak nearly two years ago.

The statement did not disclose the contents of the letter. It said Haddad would also meet officials in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The UAE's al-Khaleej newspaper reported Tuesday that the 11 Egyptians were arrested last month after allegedly collecting security information about the UAE, holding secret meetings, recruiting members and sending large amounts of money to Brotherhood leaders in Cairo.

Envoys are expected to discuss relations between the two countries, which have soured after Egyptian presidential candidate and former Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq flew to the UAE soon after he narrowly lost to Mursi in Egypt's presidential elections last year.

Litigation against Shafiq followed his departure, with a number of investigations and court cases accusing him of corruption during his long political career under Mubarak.

In September, Dubai's police chief, Lt. Gen. Dahi Khalfan Tamim, warned of an “international plot” to overthrow the Gulf governments by Islamists inspired by the rise to power of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

Is that new? They may have been able to do better in their wars if they actually worked together. Jordan is run by a clan that lost to King Saud. Syria, Egypt and Jordan have always fought for leadership in the anti-Israel struggle. Iraq and Kuwait might ring a bell.

People often talk about Arabs as a unitary bodies but they're clearly not (though many have had the desire to lead a pan-Arab state).

The wealthy Arab nations secretly adore Israel. If you dont believe that, you dont understand basic economics. They secretly despise the Palestinians and their so called "leadership" because they are bad for business. If you dont believe that then you dont understand basic economics. The remainder of the Arab world simply see and use the Palestinians as pawns in their own futile (destroy israel) game. Yes, i empathize with the poor, law abiding Palestinians. They deserve better. Israel, however, is not their enemy. If only Arafat had took the deal that gave Palestinians 98% of what they wanted, back in the Clinton days. Instead, he (and every other Palestinian leader) did what they alawys do...sell out the people to keep the dream (destroying israel) alive. If you dont believe that, you ignore history

If you want to talk about backstabbing start a thread on Jonathan Pollard.
Except this thread is about Syria and the way the Syrian government is treating their fellow Arabs brothers. Try to stay on topic for more than '0' posts.

why are you silent on Sudan's racist war on black Africans? do you know that many black Sudanese are living in Israel? many of them first settle in Egypt and they experienced Arab anti-black racism there. Asians from south and south east Asia also experience racism in the Arab word.

Well said Bobby, thus the famous saying: The Palestinians never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.
They couldn't get a better deal under Olmert or anyone else and like you say they sold out the Palestinian people to hatred and political pressure from Iran and those who have intrest in keeping the middle east out of balance.

I guess discussing Pollard hits a little too close to home. You like the cozy world of the Zionist echo chamber.

Feel free to start your own thread. I'm sure some will take it on. No need to hijack this one. Now back on subject. It seems you're the one avoiding conversation on the Syrians treatment of their fellow Arabs.

Would you like to talk about another backstabber, Stewart Nozzette, convicted of trying to pass US secrets to Israel in 2012? I don't think that's discussed in the echo chamber.
Go ahead, knock yourself out, start another thread.

How about the backstabber Ben-Ami Kadish, convicted of sending classified US secrets to Israel for 6 years? Do you talk about him in the echo chamber?
It is so cute when someone suggests you are a racist one trick pony and you blithely prove them right.

It was true when it was first coined 40 years ago and still hold up.

Never! I would then have to get a job and would not have all this time to read the compelling posts of such well educated individuals as yourself :)
Now that is a nicely articulated response, with just the right amount of humour and sarcasm. Two thumbs up.
