"Marco Polo" 2 season series on Netflix.

If you enjoyed "Game of Thrones" or "Vikings" then "Marco Polo" may be up your alley.

Absolutely nothing. I watched everything on offer. And it was the biggest waste of time EVER!

I recently watched My Octopus Teacher. It was absolutely amazing, one of the best docs I have ever seen.

It's a documentary about a film editor in South Africa who's going through a rough time and he starts free-diving in a kelp forest in the ocean near his home. One day he happens upon an octopus while diving and he becomes fascinated with her. He starts observing her day after day. Normally an octopus is a very introverted creature but this one comes to trust the diver.

He films her every day for a year over the course of her life and by doing so develops a feeling towards animals he'd never had before. This helps him improve his own relationships with his family.

Definitely a must-see.

Netflix is releasing Mank on Dec 4, with Gary Oldman as Herman Mankewicz and Charles Dance as William Randolph Hearst. David Fincher is still keeping Tom Burke as Orson Welles under wraps.

In the meantime JK Rowling's 4th Book Lethal White is out. The promo is killer: Holly Grangier and Tom Burke are the detectives.

There was a 38 year gap between William Randolph Hearst and his mistress Marion Davies (Amanda Seyfried).

Charles Fuckin Dance as William Randolph Hearst...let that sink in a minute.

Watched the movie The Trial Of The Chicago 7 yesterday, about the trial of Tom Haydn, Abbie Hoffman, and Jerry Rubin, Bobby Seals, et al, after the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, with its protest demonstrations that turned violent. Worth watching imho.

Also half way into the series The Queen's Gambit, about a female orphan chess prodigy back in the Cold War era. Fiction, but also enjoyable.

I'm about 5 episodes into Hanna.

It's up my alley. Espionage CIA covert operations stuff set in Europe.

Interesting to see the stars of The Killing reunited in another vehicle. Joel Kinnaman Murielle Enos.

We're enjoying Rita, a Danish series about a teacher who marches to her own drummer. It's both heavy drama and comedy. It's worth it just to watch the actress who plays Rita.

You've piqued my interest peteey, I'm going to begin streaming this. For a foreign series it has a high score on IMDB, the actress's name is Mille Dinesen.

As a life long Gary Oldman fan, I know he has no talent, he has powers of persuation. Which puts him up there with Daniel Day Lewis, Alec Guinness and Marlon Brando. He has another film on Netflix coming out, I have faith in Oldman that both films will be memorable. The Laundromat has a more famous cast.

Correction, The Laundromat came out in 9/2019.
