For those who do international calls ( outside of North America ), any complaints about connections , vox quality or others ?

I did look at their user forum btw.

I have it, but only use it for Canada/US calls. The odd time the connection sucked, but for the most part it's working well. Only thing that sucks is that when we got it, we had to get a US number, so our local friends can't call us on the MagicJack (we were thinking about dropping our local phone and using this instead).

I use it to make outgoing international calls (about 1 hour per week) to three different countries without problem.

I bought a Canadian number originally (I don't think they offer it now) and people could not call me (from within Canada and US) easily - lots of dropped connections etc.

I plug it in when I wish to make a call and people call me on my other phones instead.

One bonus is that I do have the US number listed on a couple of websites, so if I get a call to that number I get an email message forwarded to me and listen to it, so I have US presence knowing that I won't actually get a customer call to pick up - message only. Helps to have a US number on a website if selling into the US which I do.

I have MJ and it's OK, not great. I had a lot of trouble at first getting it up & runing, but subsequent installs have been fine, so I assume it was a hiccupw ith the original computer. I did get it sorted out & use it on the origial machine.
I would'nt give up my landline for MJ,a nd if I was making an important business call, I would use landline over MJ. It can be flakey & dropped calls etc. CAll quality is OK, not great. I sort of say its like lower bit rate MP3 vs Original CD quality sound.
Support is all chat based and not that great IMO, no telephone contact available at all, everything is chat based.
Its a great way for me to talk to freinds etc long distance without the cost. when I travelled to Ottawa this past summer, I was able to keep in contact with home at basically no cost.
not all telephones work with MJ, although most that I have tried do . thenolder telephones with the bell ringers wont as they require more power than the newer electronic ones .
There is a forum here worth reading ( if you can decpher some of the posts LOL) http://www.arnab.ca/site/2008/07/21/magic-jack-toronto-canada/
there is an ongoing discussion re CDN numbers, the site claimes to have CDN numbers, but theres no way to choose a number, not sure about that. I don't have an issue with the US number, so it's not a concern to me at this time.
Overall, for the initial cost of $39 for the MJ plus 1 yr of service, and $20 for each year after that its a bargain IMO.

VOIP with no extra hardware

Why do you need to buy (or at least carry) an extra piece of hardware to connect to an internet phone service?

Skype is one of the better known VOIP companies. I used this for about two years until one day they totally screwed up my account (suddenly showing multiple calls made in multiple countries) - either my account was hacked or they have major malfunction. ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE - no phone number to start with, only online "support". You know, one of those CS that directs you through a maze of self-serve Q&S, many of which providing an answer you don't want but stops you from leaving a message. I finally got through the maze to leave a message, which was not answered in two weeks. I dumped the account which only had about 10 bucks (which was rapidly used up by unauthorized calls anyway).

SKYPE SUCKS!

Now I use a company called CallCentric. No setup or monthly fee. Has my own phone number. Uses a software VOIP phone on the PC, that I can use when I am on the road (in the US).
