Anyone else have cholesterol issues?

They can drive you crazy with this cholesterol issue. 75% of the people that have normal cholesterol get heart attacks.

Just found out my genetics suck and I need to be medicated, which I will start tomorrow. Anyone else? Not the greatest feeling when your doctor calls you in the middle of the day right after a blood test.

I am right at the cusp of needing medication. High cholesterol runs in my family both my mom and my uncle were on medication. High cholesterol is more about genetics than about lifestyle or obesity so don't fret.

Do you think your doctor is just trying to aggravate you, and doesn't really have your health and well-being in mind?

Get your head out of the sand...

If your doctor is saying you have a problem, problem, he's trying to keep you alive so you don't die from a stoke or heart attack or clogged veins and arteries. Guess the question is do you want to live and keep having fun or stroke out?

If you're on the cusp, why not see if your doctor will start you on a low-dose statin drug.

If your issue is primarily genetic you can't change that, though a heart-positive diet and exercise are always good ideas.

If you experience no negative side-effects from the statins, there are many other benefits than just lowering your "bad" cholesterol...

I ignored it for long time. Now I am taking zocor and Ezetimbie everty other night. I always take CoQ10 it helps with cramping .
