I did not realise it at the time that those cartoons exposed me to so many snippets of classical composers content.

To honour the day I've prepared a baccala dinner with roast potatoes, red peppers, onions and black olives. Also to post something full of sunshine, Mendelssohn's Symphony No.4 (Italian). He was a frequent visitor to Lo Stivale during his short life and it shows. The dances he inserted into the symphony are both vibrant and fierce. The Tarantella bridge in the first movement and the Saltarello Finale.
