Any discussion of Beethoven can go on for hours. I'll sum him up in a few short words.

Ludwig Van enjoyed a good wanking when dealing with writer's block.

Not much of a classical music fan, but recently I have been listening to some Indian classical music I chanced upon on youtube, and I must say its pleasantly and surprisingly really good. Here are a couple that I have enjoyed.

This lady below plays a string instrument solo, and its totally kick ass. The guy on the percussion instrument is also pretty good. Surprising how clearly he is able to articulate his beats using just his fingers. So peaceful and soulful.

This Sitar in a thunderstorm is truly epic.

So this guy is a grammy award winning percussion instrumentalist. He plays a clay pot! And this is fucking amazing. Also the rap music (kinda), the other guy speaks is unique.

Also an interesting observation by a commenter on this video - a Hindu playing Hindu devotional music, in a Church named Afghan Church :ROFLMAO:

Putinesca must not want to be seen as a total sadistic barbarian. Anastasia Huppmann, St Petersburg born now living in Vienna, spoke out against war in Ukraine. She's even held several benefit concerts.

The Tea Party turned me on to Indian music, had to find out where those killer rhythms came from.

Deutsche Grammophon has invested heavily in Indian music.

I love how the Sitar sounds like multiple instruments being played at the same time.

Ennio Morricone's score for 'City of Joy' features the use of traditional
Indian instruments. You can hear it near the 6--7 min mark.

From personal experience, Amadeus is the best date film. If you're planning a romantic evening, you can easily set the mood with this:

When posting a Symphony, if it's recorded badly Klipsch will expose it.

Loves me my classical!
I listen to metal, shredding guitars, and Classic Rock 1/2 of the time, jazz 1/2 of the time, and classical the remaining 1/2 of the time.

Brahms isn't that far removed from our time. I can
think of three conductors to listen to to get an idea of
how his music was played in his days. Felix Weingartner
knew Brahms personally. In fact Brahms was pleased
by the conductor's interpretation of his 2nd symphony.
There are also Bruno Walter and Sir Adrian Boult's
recordings of Brahms' symphonies for modern day
conductors to look to as the link to performance
of classical music in the 19th century.
