F murray Abraham as Salieri

great acting but it is a lie that Salieri hated Mozart

The music Salieri hears in his head:

Concerto for Flute and Harp,
Symphony No. 29 in A,
Concerto for Two Pianos,
Symphonie Concertante,
Mass in C Minor

Salieri along with his pupil Ludwig Van revived Mozart's music in the years after his passing.

John Cage's explosive 4 minutes and 33 second performed by death metal band Dead Territory. They even added a prelude to it.

Try to contain your excitement.

Some softer Mass in C Minor choral music after the riotious Cage piece

Constanze Mozart was portrayed as a airhead in the movie but she was a German soprano and businesswoman.
She is best remembered as the spouse of the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Following her husband's sudden death in 1791, Constanze Mozart escaped poverty and supported her family through concertizing and promotion of her husband's memory.

Not sure why Salieri rejected the manuscripts then threw her out as now he has the music
to read after his dalliance with Constanze instead of a beer. Any ideas?

Amadeus is one of my favorite films and it's complete fiction. By the time of his passing Mozart had fallen out of favour, such was the pitfall of the court composer. Constanza didn't go it alone in promoting his music Antonio Salieri and his pupil Ludwig Van supported her. Mozart and Haydn were both court composers, it was up to Ludwig Van to break that mold.

The Mozart Piano Concerto that ushered Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 20.

Meditation from Thaïs is an instrumental piece originally used as an entr’acte in Act II of Jules Massenet’s opera Thaïs. It has become popular as a concert piece for violinists worldwide. The music reflects the character Thaïs, a beautiful courtesan, contemplating significant decisions in her life.

Joshua Bell has performed with virtually every major orchestra in the world, the GRAMMY Award-winning violinist is one of the most visible figures in contemporary music, regardless of genre. Bell, a former child prodigy, began playing at the age of four.

He needs a wardrobe designer tout de suite.

He is dressed like Johnny Cash and his tails are out and his shirt is too tight
and he has a 1960 Beatles haircut

Not all of it. Mozart puts flatuence into his music. He would write music on his sleaves.
He was broke even while famous and had an obnoxious laugh.

Director Milos Forman was all about creating a compelling, engaging film. He wasn’t too worried about sticking to every historical detail. Instead, he focused on bringing Mozart’s character to life in a way that would captivate audiences. Asking Hulce to come up with an extreme laugh was one of those decisions that helped make the character unforgettable.
Tom Hulce was the actor who played Mozart.
The director asked Hulce to come up with “something extreme” for Mozart’s laugh.
Here’s what he had to say about it: “I’ve never been able to make that sound except in front of a camera.”

Haydn used flatulence in his music as well and I love fart jokes. Louie CK episode Come of God I consider a masterpiece, if you haven't watched it, you should.

Mozart was a degenerate gambler. Constanza said it herself, money slipped through his fingers. Too bad Ludwig Van wasn't his age, he could have slapped the piss out of him.

Lately I've been playing polotsvian dances a fair bit- I'm not sure who the composer is but I found it in a Russian classical collection.

Borodin wrote Prince Igor (Polotsvian Dances), the awkwardly named Rimsky-Korsakov orchestrated the opera. Yulia Stepanova (in red) is in this, she was Snow White in Rammstein's Sonne.

Like Jack White, music critic Dave Hurwitz has a love/hate relationship with Anton Bruckner.

Wagner has always been cheap, trashy and vulgar - that's why I love his music.

Dave Hurwitz has a very drool sense of humour, he doesn't actually need Frau Blucher to get guffaws.

I'm especially keen on responses from the ladies, but guys are welcome to post too. What are your favourites? Ever make love to a Beethoven symphony, or perhaps Stravinsky's Rite of Spring? Maybe you like a little Chopin to set a romantic mood before doing the deed. Many people fear that classical music is dying. Do you agree? Do you care? Perhaps you find classical music inherently un-sexy. if so, why?

Did you do anything creative with that flute you played in high school?
I find Erik Satie is extremely romantic and I’ve had a particular sexy encounter years ago listening to his music and it will forever give me sex flashbacks when I hear it
