I'm a vegetarian. I always look for veggie burgers when in town on vacation their best if they're made from veggies, not the beyond or impossible meat that all are serving now. Thanks
Thank you I checked it out. It's 700 m from where I'm staying. It's a bit pricey but looks great. I'll be there the first night. Thanks again. Any suggestions for pizza?Joey's , Eaton Center, makes a good one, a bit pricey but good.
Consists of :brown rice, mushroom + almonds, miso dressing, arugula, comes with fries.
Also, the waitresses are eye candy!
Thank you it is also close to where I am staying.Hair of the dog has a tasty veggie burger
Any thoughts on pizza?Thank you it is also close to where I am staying.
Licks has been deceased for years but they did have a good veggie burger, the Nature Burger. It was pretty hard to tell it apart from real meat. You'd have to travel out to The Beaches to get one of the few locations that's still open but I had Lick's veggie burger once and it was actually pretty tasty.
I used to like their burgers. I was sad that they didn't survive the gourmet burger trend of the late 2000's/early 2010's.
So, it turns out that the franchise is indeed RIP, I was sure that the OG Beaches location was still open. There's still one open up near Parry Sound. I loved their burgers but I'm not sure if I'd want to travel that far!Licks has been deceased for years but they did have a good veggie burger, the Nature Burger. Here's another unfortunate fact. Long before the retail locations closed the factory making their burgers closed, so for the last decade any restaurant flying the Licks banner was selling 'not' Licks burgers but cheap, low quality burgers you can buy at the grocery store. I found out the hard way as there was up until recently a location at kingston and morningside and I went in for a burger. Talk about disappointment. So before you get nostalgic and drive to Parry Sound with a burger craving be warned. It's just a knock off burger at this point. So, it turns out that the franchise is indeed RIP, I was sure that the OG Beaches location was still open. There's still one open up near Parry Sound. They also had a really good turkey burger as well. Though I thought that The Yellow Griffin, another resto that's unfortunately shut-down as well, had an excellent turkey burger.
Oh, I wasn't planning on it. There are plenty of other burger places that are just as good, if not better closer to home. Here's another unfortunate fact. Pizzeria Defina looks great a little far I am at 175 Dundas St E, Toronto. Might be with the trip I do love wood fired pizza. ThanksRosie's Burgers, on Queen does a Beyond Meat burger. So does Freshii on Spadina.
However, if you want a tasty Vegetarian burger, without all the processed shit, then I suggest you try Gully, on Bloor W. It is an Indian place so has burgers similar to what McD in India has. I love their Crispy Aloo Tikki burger.
Pizza best is Pizzeria Defina. Try their Mushroom pizza. Roma style. Its amazing.
Try fresh restaurants. Or impact kitchen. Another one called sisters something. or plantaI'm a vegetarian. I always look for veggie burgers when in town on vacation their best if they're made from veggies, not the beyond or impossible meat that all are serving now. Thanks
