Totally forgot about this song , when it first came out it was totally unique sounding, I thought the lyrics were "Soviet jewry" LOL
me too. Saw BB Gabor at the Rondun, or as it was known as "the Rundown" on Roncesvalles, in 1980. Same year Russia invaded Afghanistan.

But these 2 songs with the video montages bring tears to my eyes every time. Especially the little girl who just loses it when her father surprises her at school upon his return.

Feel like I could post most of the music I grew up on here (because of what my dad listened to, not because of my age!) a lot of classic rock was made during war times, and the 80s kept some of that going.
