Looks like I possibly screwed up twice.

On my 1st post you ranted a reply to,...I assumed when you stated,..."social science data",...I thought you were referring to race,...if you were not,...I was wrong.

2nd mistake, in your last post to me, I again assumed,...without reading,...that you were referring to my nailing shlongconnery.

But you have to realize that if you go ape shit about carding,...you inferring race,...don't like it,...but that's how it comes across.

I have been very pissed about people accusing me of being racist,...when that it so far from who I am.

Yes I am a WAS(p),...but If anybody had any clue how and were I grew up,...you would know,...not even close.

When I had work in the US,...got in a lot of trouble backing up blacks,...going to bars that were ALL black to listen to some great jazz.
Was always funny,...when I walked in, and still stayed when it was obvious that the bar was NOT mixed,...the waiters would always say,...you must be Canadian,...EH

So lighten up,...yes there are racists,...I AM NOT ONE !

Do NOT assume just because some one supports carding,...does NOT make them racist !
That has a habit becoming reversed.

FAST
Who called you racist?

As an aside where or how you grew up and what bars and music you listen to are not proof of being racist or not racist. :)

shlongconery,..."Someone needs their simple-minded, dumb, racist ass hand to them... !"

Then you have no idea what a racist is,...do you,...

But,...again,...if some one accuses you of being a racist, because you are in favour of carding,...that some one is a good example of a racist,...maybe that will help you understand what a racist is.

I have to give you props for admitting you made a mistake especially since you're not sure if you really made one. I'm not sure why you are getting defensive about being called a racist when you know that you're not. Does it really make any difference difference what other people that you've never met think about you? If other people think you are a racist based on the limited amount they know about you, then so be it. You'll never meet them so it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

As for carding...... it is very easy to give up rights when they aren't your rights.

I am not black but i don't see why a innocent black person should be carded more frequently.
If I live in a crime (illegal drug dealings, shootings, stabbings, etc.) ridden neighborhood and virtually every culprit apprehended is a young green person and I am also a young green person I have no problem being carded.

BTW: The police in my neighborhood know my name, telephone number, where I live and what I look like. In fact, when I go away I actually call the local police and ask them to keep an extra eye on my house during their patrols. (No, the police do not know about my Jennifer Lawrence, Katy Perry and Maria Sharapova nude pic collection.)

What's with this liberal leftie crap? No one has said anything here about living in a police state. Feel free to go to your local police station and hand over all of your private information if that makes you feel safer. It puzzles me that some people are apparently so willing to give up their private information when people have fought and died for that basic human right.
What 'private' information?

Sorry, should have said personal information and that would include a list of your friends in case they should also do something criminal. I believe the current argument is that carding violates the rights guaranteed under the Charter. Again, I am surprised that some people are so apparently willing to give up such a fundamental right. I think many so far are missing the subtle difference between police canvassing where no information is kept about a person and carding where detailed information is kept about a person with no apparent oversight for how long and what specific details are being kept.

yea, that's what privilege is. That comforting feeling that the police are on your side.

That's not how black youth feel.

Now you're making things up that have nothing to do with any policing. The only time they ask anything about friends is if your friend is an alibi witness.

There will be a press conference at 12:30PM to announce a closer working relationship between the Chinatown BIA and the police.

Another example of a neighborhood working with (instead of against) the police to make their neighborhood safer for all.

Not really taking sides or anything, but technically, using ellipses to indicate a long pause or to trail off the end of a sentence, for example, "just...stop" isn't correct either. An ellipsis is meant to omit something from a body of text, usually a quotation, which will have little-to-no effect on the text's meaning. Technically, what you're referring to is "aposiopesis".
Good word, 'aposiopesis'.
Have to remember that one.

Though personally I think that FAST just suffers from Shatner syndrome.
