The talking heads on CNN believe the plane went into the water intact. This begs the question whether this was a deliberate act. Apparently, there were 6 other planes in the immediate area and they all landed safely.

Stalled in midair is most likely. The bad weather can confused them as to air speed, and there is radar data that they were climbing at too slow a speed. Once they stall in weather like that they almost certainly go into a spin.

If they hit a strong thunderstorm downdraft, most likely stall followed by a spin

IN this century of Technology and electronics , how do they loose 2 planes, and the only way they found the second one was searching for debris ???????

THey can send a man to the moon but they can find a general location of where they crashed into the ocean ??

I know certain parts of the ocean are very deep but holy shit but arent there sattelites in the orbit that record certain parts of the earth ???

ANd both planes didnt send out distress signal / communication ???? Something doesnt add up here , something shaddy there

I think it is starting to sound like an AF447 replay...kinda sad if that it turns out that way, that no one learned from that other terrible tragedy. That is the worst, when the same stupid sequence is allowed to repeat.

At least one of the talking heads on CNN suspects the plane hit the water at a "slow" speed. A plane hitting the water at a high speed would have shattered into a 1,000 pieces which is not the case here. Was the pilot trying to land the plane on water? (Only German pilots like Sully Sullenberger can land planes on water.)

My understanding is that, as in AF447, this plane does NOT have an angle of attack indicator for the pilots,...makes it kinda hard to fly in storms, especially if the air speed tubes are blocked with ice.

A large piece of the fuselage has been found. The tail section. With any luck this will mean they can recover the data recorders and get some answers.
