Had an appointment at Club Alpha recently. Showed up right on time, was put in a small room to wait because my attendant wasn't ready. 15 minutes go by and nothing. I decide to throw in the towel and went back to reception and said I have to get going. This has to be the most unprofessional place in the city, this is my third bad experience here. I stopped going for a few years and am now done completely which is too bad because I've met some extremely attractive women there. I get better customer service from the Asian spas and that's not saying much!

That's weird. I've only had exceptional experiences at Alpha. Always a great time sessioning and hanging out with the lovelies.

A shout-out to Jessica for ongoing support with my account. Picked up a new phone and couldn't log into the booking site, but she went the extra mile to reset passwords and restore access 👍🙂

Alpha is a busy place. The reception staff deal with a lot of characters and challenges, seamlessly and professionally, imo.

Being left alone in a room for 15 minutes isn't anything a rum & coke wouldn't fix. If the MA was delayed then socialize and make new female acquaintances.

Hope you didn't walk around starkers after throwing in the towel. That would be a buzzkill. 🤢

Did you go to the bar and order a charcuterie board? Nothing like a bit of cheese to go with your whine! 🤣

Speaking of drinks, love the Alpha drink promotions on Sens game nights. Go Team! 🏒🥃🍹🍷🍾🏒

I think you're making too many assumptions. A large % of guys that go to spas are going on the downlow, and need to be in and out. If I went and the MA was 15 mins late, then it's a pretty big deal. I can't just nip out for a drink or a cheese board....I'm literally there for just one thing and then I'm out the door.

Communication is a key component in any area of endeavour. It's good to tweet the MA in advance so everything's set for the appointment. If she's delayed, work with the spa to resolve issues.

He's in a luxury room with an upscale ensuite shower, in a club loaded with beautiful women, food & drink, and a professional staff to look after him. Not hard to reset and have a positive outcome

The dude can contact reception, find out what's going on, order food & drink, make other arrangements for companionship, take a shower, postpone for another day, or a combination of the above

Coming on TERB and kvetching about minor issues reveals more about the client than about the spa.

I disagree with you. I'm like BillReid451. I like to keep that private. So yes, if I'm put in a room for 15 minutes waiting, I will not be happy.
And by the way, this "waiting" in the room has become way too common. It is become the norm now to wait from 5 to often 15 minutes.

When I have an appointment, I like being on time, and I like the other party to be on time.

When I can't, tell the other party. THIS is being professional. It did happened to me to be not even late but afraid to be late because of traffic.
I called the SPA to advise them... THIS is being respectful and professional...

I'd leave too, it's a buzzkill to sit for 15 minutes waiting for who knows how much longer. If you're single, you could probably sit there all day waiting, live it up, fill your boots. If you're not single, you got shit to do, places to be, you cant be wasting time waiting around for godot.

I cant help but say, in the 2 plus years i have been a member at Club Alpha, i have never had an experience like the one in the OP post. Jessica, and the ladies at CA have always been professional with me. Don't get me wrong, waiting for 15 mins would not make me happy either, but if you have a conversation with Jessica, or any of the receptionists, usually something can be worked out. And just to add, i find that Club CMJ is the same in this respect, courteous and professional always. Cheers and Happy Hunting!!!

My last couple of experiences at Club Alpha/ Brass were similar. Waited almost 30 minutes, checked in at reception as I assumed they forgot, stupidly stayed, and had a crappy time as the mood was destroyed. Second time waited over 20 minutes and left. Haven't been back since. Before that, I had seen the standard experience diminishing anyway but always chalked it up to covid. Now, I have moved on and can enjoy my experiences again. Mostly indys now but will go to CMJ oncein a while. Brass / Alpha was my ho to as it was near work and I would go a couple of times a month. Now I ho elsewhere.

I’m very sorry you had a bad experience and had to wait.
Although we strive for perfection, on occasion mistakes happen and delays occur.
This happens in every domain in life and all we can do is try to do better.

Unfortunately, the finer things in life aren’t always readily accessible.

If their was a delay, it was because the hostess was busy. Which is a good sign and means your at the right place.

Keep in mind, we do leave a 15minute interval between sessions to avoid these delays.
These delays are unfortunately the by product of success.
For example, if you go to a fine dining restaurant, you may have to wait as oppose to going to Mac Donald’s
While our goal is not to make you wait, their is a possibility of it happening every now and then.
With that said, it would much more productive and much more appreciated if when a member has a problem, they approach management and deal with this issue in a mature manner and opposed to going online bashing the business and it’s hostesses when you haven’t even given us an opportunity to fix anything.

While this may not have occurred to you, we have countless incidents where members might be late for appointments, last minute cancellations or one of a million things that might happen during a day. But we approach these members in a professional and courteous manner when we can. We don’t complain about it online like a high school girl. I find myself at a lost with people who prefer to complain instead of fix an issue, especially when I make myself so available. I can only imagine that you would prefer complain as opposed to find a solution to a problem where the result would make everyone much happier.

Like I said, I went to reception and was met with no help or even real understanding of my position. I am not one to complain and was not doing this here. Someone posted a review here on a review board and I validated it with my experience. This happened months ago (during summer) and I simply moved on and found other means to have these services.

This is a review board and I will give account of great experiences and not so great. Brass/Alpha has received both from me so it isn't personal.

My recommendation would be that you stop trying to pick apart the review and simply fix the problem. You seem to have an understanding of what the problem is based on the examples you gave so you can either to allow them to continue or address them. Your call and, likewise, it is my call to choose if I attend or if I want to give an honest review of my experiences on a review board.

It’s Club Alpha now.
Brass Club no longer exist.

My goal is not to pick apart a review, my goal is to get results and improve the experience for our members.
This is the 1st time I’m hearing of your experience. This is my Twitter. https://twitter.com/jessicamaottawa?s=21
I hope to hear from you soon.

Lol the owner and I exchanged pm's after my last two poor experiences. Nothing happened but her spewing bs and making excuses.
Sorry you feel this way.

I had believed our previous conversation to be helpful and thought you were happy with the result. That impression was further validated by your continued patronage at the club. It didn’t seem like I was spewing BS or making excuses at that time.

It’s a real shame that you weren’t interested in resolving this in a positive way.

At Club Alpha, we take the privacy of our business and conversation with our members extremely seriously. I do not agree with you sharing this conversation and I do condone it.

Based on what you have shared, you’ve proven to everyone that you have no respect for privacy and no manners or decorum.

The message that you have shared ultimately prove that even when communicating privately, you are rude.

Due to your lack of respect for privacy and lack of maturity, I’m banning you from ever entering Club Alpha premise and please refrain from communicating with me any further.

Any establishment that has an ounce of respect for the privacy of their clients should do the same.
