One of the things I thought about going through these pictures was that Pompei was buried for so long. It is a snap shot of life in the Roman Empire. I wonder if similar Roman cities were decorated like that?

Yes they were. I saw some wall murals in ancient houses and villas at Ostia Antica just outside of Rome. Also many mosaic tiles at Ephasus.

yup.. i remember going on a tour of pompei and listening to the guide talk inside the templ/pavillion where they used to have sex rituals and stuff.. hahaha mind boggling... can you imagine all these pretty women from the past performing a sex ritual.. damn just thinking about the moans and sounds and pretty italian women in white robes and naked turned me on xD

I have been to Pompeii and seen those very murals on the wall of the brothel just outside the city wall. They are not actually murals, but rather a menu of 14 different offerings of the house. The men who came in from the sea, mostly could not read, but they could use the pictures to place their order...lol. Trust me, they thought of every sex act and more!
