It's either Kristy or Jason(boring) going home tonight.

Ramielle probably has the best voice, and she better start showing it, otherwise she's not going all the way.

Kristy cannot survive much longer - she is already two weeks past expiry.

I think Kristy is hot, I need to start a poll to try and find the SP that most closley resembles her (lol). At least I get to see her one more week. I think she should try country again as it really suits her but not an up-tempo song, rater something slow and powerfull.

Glad that David A gets to stay. I cant for the life of me see why Amanda is still there, She is such a one trick pony and no one has called her on it.

I think it will come down to Carly/David A or Carly/Brook

Ramielle had a very good voice, and is as cute as a button, but her song selections have been horrid.

Did I hear correctly? They're going to do another week of Lennon/McCartney songs?

I was really going for Danny but he went home. Amanda definatly should go home Ive realized she cant really sing and always sounds the same in every song. Last night was a really bad one though like Simon said I couldnt understand a word she was saying.

Well, apparently, procuring the rights to use the songs has been very difficult, so why not milk it for another week?

I hope somebody does "Drive My Car".

I honestly have no idea what the big fuss about David A is. Am I the only one who finds his voice annoying?

I think the kid has a nice voice and some talent, but for my taste, he is just too young and callow to be taken too seriously. I heard, in an interview, that when he chose the song that he sang last week, "We Can Work It Out", that he knew the Stevie Wonder version, but had no idea that it was a Beatles song.

He's a pleasant kid and likeable enough, but he's inexperienced. I'd much prefer it if Carly or Michael or David C. won.

To me he's just a little kid that sings nice but not great. I'd never buy his record if he won.

If David A. screws up again, he may will definitely be out of the running for the top spot.

Who do you think should go next? My guess is that Syesha will be the next to pack her bags. Or possibly Kristy.

Who knows, Amanda may be safe considering they're doing Beatles songs again.

I'm afraid Kristy Lee might be COOKED! Would be a shame she had so much potential but is not improving.

After watching tonight's show, I feel the same way as I did last week. It sounded like a good idea at the time, but in reality, it didn't quite suck, but it wasn't great either.

It was a weird night. Simon was really in rare form, and although I agree with him 80% of the time, I thought he overdid the negativity tonight. And didn't the contestants seem especially mouthy tonight too?

From the top:

Amanda - Great song choice. 'Back in the U.S.S.R.' is such a fun song, even Amanda's lack of vocal subtlety couldn't ruin it for me. Simon said something that I think everyone else has been thinking for weeks now... namely, that Amanda is "getting" predictable. Well, there's a remarkable observation! Still, she didn't totally suck, and there were worse, so she stays...

Kristy - Toast. She should have been the one to sing 'I've Just Seen a Face'. That song countrifies up real good. Instead, she chose one of the Beatles' best little ballads, and managed to sing it not as a ballad, nor as a pop song. I don't know what she was doing up there.

David A. - Yeah, very nice. Very well sung. Check. We all know the kid can sing songs like this. So what's for dinner?

Michael - I like this guy and I love the song, but it just doesn't compress well to a minute and a half. The arrangement seemed to jump all around. What he sang sounded okay for the most part, but it was just too disjointed.

David C. - I liked his version of 'Daytripper'. I totally disagree with Simon on this one. In my mind, this guy has been on point, and totally entertaining every week.

Brooke - Simon said she should have sang 'Yesterday', I think that 'You've Got to Hide Your Love Away', or heck, even 'Norwegian Wood' would have been great choices for her. Still, I didn't hate her version of 'Here Comes the Sun'. Yes, her performance was a little spastic, but to me, that's part of her charm.

Carly - I'm not a big fan of 'Blackbird' but she sounded very nice.

Jason - Mr. Sensitive goes for another sensitive guy song, 'Michelle'. I didn't hate it. Jason has very nice eyes and I could see maybe thinking he was dreamy if I were an 11 year old girl.

Syesha - She saved herself with a pretty nice performance. She totally sold it. I thought her heart was actually breaking. Oh, and she had the guns working for her with that low cut dress. That'll add some votes!

Chikezie - I'm starting to like the big goof a little. I thought he did a reasonably good job with 'I've Just Seen a Face'.

Ramiele - One word. Adorable. I think she was right to choose a fun, uptempo song, because I think she needed to remind everyone how cute and young she is. 'I Should Have Known Better' was an interesting choice, because they pretty much used the original arrangement, with all the harmonica and all. I wonder if they had tried to contemporize it, and had she sang it more in a sassy pop tart style, might it then have gone over better.

Bwtween Amanda and Kristy who should get tossed. Kristy will which is too bad because she's less annoying than Amanda who has racheted up the rocker-biker chick act, and it is an act, way too high.

Kristy survives to sing another day.

Syesha is poised to slip past Ramielle, if she hasn't already done so, as is Brook into the number 1 among the women. Carly doesn't have the popularity to challenge Brook.

Michael is starting to look as vulnerable as Ramielle. I wonder if Chikezie has the juice to blast past Jason? David Cook can tread water for a few weeks while his competitors do themselves in. That goes double for Archuleta.

We will now get to see Kristy blow Simon's socks off.

It would be killer t.v. if Kristy is again and again in the bottom two, escaping elimination each time. If she gives a solid performance next week, she may just capture America's heart and continue for a fortnight or two. Well, at least a boy can dream.
