and it was somewhat worrisome. It suggests that if you visit an SP, and have safe FS and BJ, and do DATY, you have a 1 in 24 chance of getting AIDS!!!! Never mind your scores if you go to SP's for BBBJ or BBFS!!!!!! ANy thoughts? Hints or suggestions??

http://www.thebody.com/index.shtml contains up-to-date info. There have been, according to this site "a few" documented cases of transmission of HIV through cunnilingus. The risk remains extremely low.

Even if she has HIV (which the vast, vast, vast, majority of SP's obviously do not have), your chances of contracting virus aren't even close to that.

train, I've done an enormous amount of web searching on this topic, and there's a fair amount of misinformation out there. While the reliable and responsible websites all suggest an extremely low risk for DATY, there are few alarmists out there.

david may have been a little indiscriminate in what info. he chose to believe, but I don't think that qualifies him as an idiot.

If anyone had the chance to read the article in Details a few month ago (with Ethan Hawke on the cover) the article went a long way to dispell a lot of notions around sexual contact - BBBJ, FS, etc. It was an excellent article supported by attribution from the U-S Centre For Disease Control.

If you can get a copy it's an excellent article worth reading.

Of course the odds matter. There is a very small chance that you will get killed crossing the road. Will that stop you crossing the road?

The chances of getting HIV/AIDS from DATY is so miniscule it is not worth thinking about. Now herpes, that's a different story.

Firstly, I refuse to get involved in any name-calling.
Second, the link for the aforementioned online HIV test was found on this board, and I'm sure could be found via a search.
This test is based on various criteria.
It takes into account how many sex partners your sex-partner has annually.(An SP would probably rank high)
It considers the data from your geographic location.
Rememeber, there is a minimal risk of HIV through daty, but also, minimal risk through protected sex also. Read the fine print on the condom wrapper, it doesn't say "100% effective against HIV"!
Alarmist, no, but not an Ostrich either!
