Agreed, adultfriendfinder sucks. Goofed around with it for 3 months or so and basically found out that although it seems like there are a LOT of women on it, men still outnumber them by a huge margin and are much more "active." So what happens is that any woman half-way decent gets absolutely inundated with messages and probably can't answer most of them. If she's really serious about hooking up, she probably has her choice of dozens (probably hundreds) of guys, so law of averages says "you lose." Also, to see profiles you have to upgrade to a paid membership for about $15 per month. Not worth it (I tried). In 3 months, I had ONE woman contact me, and it ended up being a scam to try to get credit card numbers. Fuck it. I had them blow away my profile. They will send you tons of borderline spam if you don't.
I've tried it but there are a lot of women trying to scam you for some cash. Lavalife is better, although there are a lot of phonies there too. I have met several women on Lava, you just have to wade through the b.s.
I have met 14 women in person over 5 years as a result of adultfreindfinder (no membership paid). 4 women were down right scarey!! 5 women were not as they had portrayed themselves to be on the site (also scary). 3 were recently single at the time (2 with kids). 1 was a knockout, no kids, had money, butttt was a wee bit crazy! Don't fall for the hype! There is too much valuable time involved in trying to meet someone from AFF.

My current girlfriend I met on Lavalife. I had some very scary moments from that site but I finally found a woman that I appreciate and enjoy. She's a gem. If you're looking, be serious and look hard, if not you'll never find.

Like you said though, if you stick it out there as some nice ladies out there to be had. I've had several rewarding relationships with women I've met over the internet.
Here's a few pointers for those who use online dating: It's wise to have a pic scanned and readily available if requested. Dont take rejection personally - remember that it's all just a numbers game. Dont hurry things, but try your best to meet the woman in person within two weeks of initially making contact - better to avoid investing TOO much time getting to know someone if there is no chemistry when you meet. Choose inexpensive and casual activities for first dates - test the chemistry first before spending any $$$. Also, since online dating isnt the same kinda hobby (for me it was a hobby) as the type of hobbying going on here, be willing to invest a little in the beginning in order to reap long term rewards. In other words, dont expect to have sex with someone simply cuz you spent a few bucks on dinner the first time you met.

Seems to me the trend is the same with most of these sites. Men far outnumber the women and your patience can really be tested if you attempt to pursue this way of meeting women. I had quite a bit of success with Ashley Madison, but with most sites, it's all a numbers game and you have to be willing to send a lot emails to garner a few responses.ruck said:

gtadate is another site. It was free the last time i visited about six months ago. Bottom line is if your ugly you will not get a response.
