Rene and Angela (Rene Moore and Angela Winbush) were a male/female R&B duo who scored some success during the 80's with songs like:
"I'll Be Good". Reached #4 on the R&B charts
"Your Smile". Reached #1 on the R&B charts
"I Love You More". Reached #14 on the R&B charts. Criminal because this is a jammer.
They also wrote and produced music for a young Janet Jackson as well as Stephanie Mills. Rene never pursued a solo career but Angela did. She released three albums from 1987 through 1994. Her first #1 was this tune from her debut LP 'Sharp'

Dougie, im discovering as well..........never much interested in 80,s R&B.....but...these are pleasant tunes...
as i was listening...i was thinking that this could easily be something Eddie Floyd would record
New artist to me. I'm definitely diggin' this. That music at 1:10 to 1:16 is addictive. The drums are tight too.
