On this day 32 years ago one of the seminal releases in hip hop history emerged. Ultramagnetic MC's' Critical Beatdown. I consider this to be one of the 25 greatest hip hop albums of all time. It was innovative, it was high energy and damn was it funky. Public Enemy's production team, The Bomb Squad, credits this album as helping to inspire and develop their sound. Up and down this album is pure dope on wax. Tough to pick just one track but the title track is likely my favorite of all

That's a pretty rare record. Released in 1971, it sounds more 60's to me. Did they record anything else?

Apologies if this is heresy in this thread, but here is Frankie Miller from 1975. The vocals and arrangement are very Stax/Otis Redding.
