On my example, how did you come up with the $150 amount? You didn't count the whole amount together??

i used something called mathematics. specifically something called arithmetic. if you read my entire answer i would count the money before i went and saw the sp and get rid of that silly envelope.

It is now post #13 which I said I counted the whole amount together. The $200 from the bank and the $60 from my wallet. Somebody deleted 2 posts in this thread.

yea i do see that valtielvo's posts are gone. but it took you a hell of a long time for you to say that you counted the bills at one time thats why in my opinion you never did. the thread went like this.

you are suggesting that I was supposed to count that $260 from that 10 minutes that I was waiting for the SP? Are you serious? Like I said, I already counted the night before, separated the $260 from my other cash. Put that clearly in the envelope, put it in my jacket and zipped it up air tight.

yes i am suggesting that you count that with your 10 minutes of idle time. If you did and articulated that you did in the OP i wouldn't have doubted it. i always do. its 10 mins what did you do instead fluff yourself? take the monies out your Tupperware parka and count that shit.

Then, you claim this is a useless thread. You can read again and count how many users have expressed their thanks for this reminder. It has even spawned another thread on how to deal with the transaction process now. I leave it up to the private parties on how to handle their donation in their own way but clearly people would be more aware that this thing that happened to me can happen to them. Not only that, people have PM'ed expressing the usefulness of this thread.

i still do think its a useless thread. it was my question that sparked that thread.

Does anybody here just hand a SP an envelope and hop in the shower with out making sure the business is straight first?

regardless reading that other thread people that use envelopes are still gonna use em and people that don't still wont.

im not anal your OP was not clear in what you did compared to thunderballs. and getting more info out of you was so painful that i can only believe the contrary. i mean she may have ripped you off/miscounted(i doubt it) but it could have easily been avoided.

It is very simple. $200 straight up from the bank and 3 $20 from my wallet. You really don't have to count them together to arrive at $260. But you know, I still did once to count the $200 from the bank machine and the second time when I assembled all the funds. (In reference to your post #116).

And secondly, the chances of those bills getting blown away by the wind, or a hotel staff giving me a suspicious look, or a cop requesting couple minutes of my times to ask why the fuck is this guy counting $260 is greater than that envelope containing less that $260. And you wanna know something, your brain is only capable of looking at the surface and demanding that I name the SP (Post #77). Suppose for example I say SP X did this and then you go visit SP Y. Do you think SP Y won't be capable of doing what SP X did to me? Again and again I need to hammer the point of this thread to your brain, it doesn't matter who the SP was. What matters and what I am offering is information to guys on how to handle their donation. You can continue giving it to an envelope or you can continue laying the cash out there. I don't really care. I am just recounting my experience and it is up to other users if they deem the information usable or not. I'm just preaching awareness that's all. Anything else you got there??

this is so ridiculous i dont even know where to start.those are terrible excuses you have stated. i dont have problems with bills blowing away. it takes less than 10 seconds for a child to count 8 congruent bills. you had 10 mins! do you not know how to count money discreetly? do you still need your mother? you're in a public place you don't even have to answer to police. officer: why are you counting money? to make sure its all there. pretty simple. its funny you are complaining about personal attacks when mattroxx asked a simple valid question and you called him illiterate. i just mentioned the tupperware parka because you said your jacket was air tight and its winter time. you're not a jacket so its not a personal attack.

You wanna know why I didn't state I counted the money again in my first posts? Because I assume people are smart enough to deduce information. I mean I already said I was sure I had $200 when I left the bank and put in 3 more $20 bills when I arrived at home. Even if I didn't say I counted the money again, people would immediately know there was $260 in that envelope. And you know you can't just say I can't use arithmetic. The fact is you don't know me in person and more importantly, my employer pays me good money to count money. That is a FACT. You can say though that my writing skills aren't good, that I'll give to you but when I say I am 99.99% I had $260 in there you can bet on it.

And why would I count the money again in public 10 minutes before the meeting when I already counted the night before? Maybe I decided to visit some shops nearby, maybe I decided to go people watching. I never heard of a law that requires a John to count 10 minutes before his appointment. And since I've done this shit several times before and had no clue that this SP would tell me I'm short on the donation, there was no reason to recount everything. Sure in hindsight that would have been a good idea.

And again you said in Post #77 "how is this thread useful at all? We don't know who the SP is." What does that tell me? That you will only find this thread useful if I name the SP? And, I never made shit up. You were right when you said you didn't send me a PM regarding her identity but it's clear in your post that you will only find the usefulness of this thread if a name pops up. Lastly, so you know how to take care of your business. Good for you. If you don't need this thread, I have no problem. I keep asking again and again why do you continue posting here? It's cool man. I have been lazy to call them and usually I plan my expenses well in advance. I would get $100 couple days before and then $200 a day after or something similar to that. Also I don't really mind the $200 limit. Just in case I withdrew from a shady area and I get held up, all they get is $200. So it's not a big problem for me.

I don't know if it's already been mentioned but I have found that the new plasticky money can be a real pain to count. It can stick together like the old money couldn't because it is much smoother and seemingly a bit thinner.

I had to count out a nice pile of twentys the other day. So I seperated them into piles of five, and three times I accidentally added an extra twenty, once adding two extra. And I hardly ever have miscounted before.

If you gave her this new money it would be easy for her to accidentally count less (and by this principle if you made a mistake it would have been to her benefit).

So careful counting these new bills folks.

But when seeing SP's I always go for the big flashy money.
