Except for Ivana, the other two age differences were pretty big (18 and 24).

You have to remember that anyone not letting Republicans get away with anything is automatically "starting a war" because if they just shut up and let the GOP do it then the GOP wouldn't have to do the thing they are already doing.

The idea was underwater in August, less than 3 months ago.

It wasn't remotely a foregone conclusion back when the California Dems were trying to bluff Texas into not going ahead with their plan.

You don't know that now Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones wished death on his political opposition's children, and expressed the desire to piss on their graves, because it would be the "best way to change right-wing policy"?

I don't know who to blame this on.

Ah, I didn't know this scandal and had to look it up.
It does sound bad but it was also clear he was just running his mouth.
Certainly not as bad as Stephen Miller paraphrasing Goebbels and then using violence against minorities.
