Yes there is some right parties. But what I wrote is that there is no left party in the US.
What AOC is proposing we already have. And no right wing party will remove those benefits. Could you imagine a canadian right wing party proposing to give back healthcare to insurer, big pharma and hospitals?? Giving back healthcare for profit? Dude even the rightest of the crazy right canadian politician would not touch that with a pole.
AOC wants to undermine the free market system and create a populace dependent on government. The means include massive immigration, net zero energy policies and excessive government regulation. Perhaps she doesn't advocate government ownership at this juncture, but she views government control in every aspect of life and industry fair game. She's not going to stop at nationalize healthcare.
AOC also supported Mamdani in NYC. If you don't think he's far left in Canadian terms, you aren't paying attention. I think there is a reason Mamdani wasn't getting a lot of play on social media outside of NYC until very recently. Liberals are scared of what someone like Mamdani can do to the Democratic brand.
You have to become smarter of what is happening around you. Things move slowly in Canada, but they move nonetheless. Canada can mask its long-term productivity issues with its natural resource wealth per capita. If I am hearing things right, Carney is backing off of some of the Trudeau Administration's regulation and restriction of fossil fuel production and exportation.
