Nunes has not rebutted the fact that he colluded with the Whitehouse to prepare the Memo.

:
Transcript Shows The Daily Beast Peddled Fake News About Devin Nunes

Once again, reporters got burned by believing anonymous Democrats on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Betsy Woodruff and Spencer Ackerman of The Daily Beast credulously believed their “sources familiar with the exchange,” who said Republican Rep. Devin Nunes, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, refused to deny he had coordinated with the White House when putting together a memo alleging surveillance and law enforcement abuses at the FBI.

In fact, Nunes explicitly denied the charge before shutting down the line of questioning in order to provide other members who were not trying to hijack the hearing time to get actual committee business done.

According to a transcript of the meeting, the Daily Beast’s headline, subheadline, and lede are all false. The headline was “Devin Nunes Won’t Say If He Worked With White House on Anti-FBI Memo.” The subhead was “The House intel committee GOP leader refused to answer behind closed doors if he coordinated with the president’s team on his report blasting Rosenstein, Comey, and McCabe.” The lede is “The Republican chairman of the House intelligence committee refused to answer when a colleague asked him if he had coordinated his incendiary surveillance memo with the White House, The Daily Beast has learned.” But that apparently wasn’t enough, as the Daily Beast even blared “non-denial” above the headline in bright red font.

if you read the transcript(page 23 and 24), Nunez did indeed answer and the answer was "I would just answer, as far as I know,no"

It is a FACT that bver loves fake news

The Memo should be only the first step. The evidence presented to the judge in order to obtain the FISA warrant (s) should be declassified as well. This whole thing needs to be aired out in public in order to restore sanity.

You do realize that FISA warrants are classified for a reason. Well then again you may be right because Trump shares classified information with the Russians in any event.

And??? So, declassify them. This is a case of the domestic agency spying on the American citizens in a highly politicized environment. Let's have the truth, all of it.

Pelosi is now calling for Nunes to be removed for trying to publicize a 'bogus' memo.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday urged GOP leaders to oust Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) from atop the Intelligence Committee, charging that his “deliberately dishonest” claims of Justice Department (DOJ) abuse make him unfit to serve as chairman.

In a letter to Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), Pelosi emphasized that top officials in the DOJ and FBI have repeatedly urged Nunes and House Republican leaders to keep classified a Republican memo alleging surveillance abuse at the agencies, warning that it’s both inaccurate and could reveal federal surveillance methods at risk of undermining national security.

“The decision of Chairman Nunes and House Republicans to release a bogus memo has taken the GOP’s cover-up campaign to a new, completely unacceptable extreme,” Pelosi wrote. “As the Department of Justice warned, the public release of the memo would be an ‘unprecedented action’ and ‘extraordinarily reckless.’”

Pelosi also alluded to recent claims from Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.), senior Democrat on the Intel panel, who said that Nunes had “secretly altered” the memo prior to sharing it with Trump.
“This action is not only dangerous, it is illegitimate, and violates House rules,” she wrote. “Congressman Nunes’ deliberately dishonest actions make him unfit to serve as Chairman, and he must be removed immediately from this position.”

This is really going to blow up on the GOP and Trump.

The desperation of a cornered criminal is being playing out in real time.

The more he and his gang try to escape their just fate the more damning evidence they provide as to their abject and utter guilt.

SAD!

Anabrandy, your drama is wasted on this tiny TERB audience. You should be out writing and directing some documentary for the CBC and monetizing all this creativity! Meanwhile, Trump supporters are not worried in the slightest that the Russia investigation is going to lead to impeachment. It looks like the Dem's are going to come out of this more worse for wear. However, I don't think it will much impact politically one way or the other. Not compared to real issues, like the economy and international relations.

Right. A proper attitude would be waiting for the disclosure before freaking out. That applies as much to the Memo as it does to the collusion investigation. Of course, the anti Trump crowd convicted him of collusion before the investigation even started- still waiting for any evidence. Same goes for the Memo. All the indignation before anyone had a chance to see it. Just endless speculations.

Glad to hear that you're willing to give up the FBI conspiracy claims.
That's something.

Sadly Trump and his surrogates, to the cheering and LOLing of their supporters on this board, are running roughshod over democracy and it's democratic institutions to prevent the due course of justice from being applied without prejudice, bias or favour.

SAD!

Oops he just did it again.

Trump has admitted that his motivation < ie: intent > in his upcoming release of the disgraced Nunes memo is to discredit and undermine the Mueller investigation.

Another nail in the coffin of attempting with a corrupt intent to obstruct justice.

He just gives and gives!!!

Whatever. I'll wait for actual evidence. Screaming democracy this or that is just bullshit. The Congressional oversight is how the democracy in the American Republic suppose to work. The FBI and the DOJ are not running the government nor do they have the final word. That belongs to the elected representatives.

What you and they are characterizing as Congressional oversight definitely is NOT congressional oversight even in the most vaguest of forms.

CNN again? Let's say the President said " I'm releasing this Memo because it will stop Mueller" Is that obstruction of justice?
