Those CDC numbers are not up to date due to the data still being withheld.Look at the CDC numbers, not The Hill. Fake news
In Florida, Texas and most blue states, they are trying to conceal the numbers to not hurt Trumpfart's presidential limp. Imagine in about 2 weeks to a month as the deaths due to these spikes start climbing, it's going to be a shitshow. It's no surprise the US has bought up the world's supply of possible treatments. Those CDC numbers are not up to date due to the data still being withheld.
CDC can only work with numbers that are submitted to them. Without the updated numbers they are only able to base their results from what they have received previously.
I believe they are using this tactic to under report the situation.
Here is an article last updated Jul 8th with regards to the situation.
Under pressure last week as COVID-19 hospitalizations soared in Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis’ office said the state would start reporting daily hospitalization data for all 67 counties.
DeSantis on Tuesday, however, refused to address the fact that the state has yet to make good on its promise when asked by a Miami Herald reporter.
“Obviously not everything is presented in this report but just an unbelievable amount of data is available,” DeSantis said at an indoor press conference held at Florida’s 12th COVID-only nursing facility near Miami International Airport.
