I don't really think McGuinty is a liar. I just think he's spineless. I think he means what he says, and then caves in under pressure and does the opposite.
I think you better buy a dictionary. When you say one thing and do the opposite that's telling a lie. Which by definition makes him a liar.

Gotta hand it to Hudak.

Takes real talent to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

No he is pragmatist. The electorate is to stupid to deal with the truth, so to get elected one needs to lie and then do what needs to be done...the electorate are like children.. they need to be told there is a Santa Claus and Tooth Fairy..

No it is not. That may be breaking a promise but it is not a lie unless he did not intend to do what he said at the time he said it.
Are you really foolish enough to believe that McGuinty didn't know he couldn't keep his fiscal promises without increasing taxes? Give your head a shake. The only way to finance spending growing 8x faster than an economy is to raise taxes and he has known that all along.

That's why a Poly-Sci prof I had once said the basic truth of Canadian elections is whoever tells the biggest lie wins!

So you think he intended to increase spending by 8x when he was campaigning?

I think he is a weasel and that his word is not worth much.

But I wold think that the reality of the situation is much different when you actually get elected. Kind of like the dog catching the car he was chasing!
Why do you think they call them "Tax and Spend" Liberals? Of course he intended to increase government spending. Look at the programs and promises in the Liberals last 3 platforms. He's never denied that he was planning on raising spending. I mean do you think things like all day kindergarten are free?

Remember that when your employer just hands your pay cheque to the government and they send you back what they think you need. It's fools like you that will bankrupt this province. How long do you think the tax payers can sustain government spending growing 8x faster than the economy? As for the HST how did we manage to do all of the things you mentioned without it? Pretty well actually. If you put the billions of dollars McGuinty has wasted on Green energy, something every other place that's tried it has given up on because it isn't economically viable, into healthcare, education, etc. the HST wouldn't be necessary.

I also hope you and your left wing fools remember this night when more business owners do what I will be doing before the year is out. Closing up shop and moving my business and all of the jobs to New York or Michigan.
Why wait leave tomorrow.

The Liberals are already hard at work breaking one of their major promises of the campaign. Just last week McGuinty promised he wouldn't work with the NDP to prop him up. Tonight, he's already courting them.

The problem with the PCs wasn't Hudak so much as it was that the PCs allowed the Liberals to brand him, and to tell outright lies about the PC platform - claiming, for example, that there was a $12 Billion hole in the PC platform when they admit quietly that there was no such problem with the PC platform costing.

No you wouldn't. Because Toronto is solid red with a bit of orange and Toronto is what just elected McGuinty. It's very interesting that the Toronto suburbs that elected Mayor McCheese have obviously realized the error of their ways and even they have swung to the centre.
Hahahaha. Mayor McCheese.

Left wing fool.....har, I love it. I own my own business buddy (one of a few partners) and I have no intention of leaving Toronto.

I guess you missed the whole manufacturing destruction in Ontario over the last 4 years and how hundreds of thousands of solid middle class jobs have left town. Guessed you missed how tax revenues are way down leaving the province in a bad situation - with a decision to make - increase taxes and try (repeat try) to maintain services or keep taxes where they are and pull a Rob Ford

1. I doubt Jimmieboy is a business owners. The HST has actually mde business more competitive. http://www.thestar.com/business/article/1064790--canada-is-best-place-for-business-forbes-finds
2. It was not Toronto that decided the election, it was the conservatives complete inability to win seats in any urban area. They won seats in Kitchener, Guelph, Barrie Thornhill and Oshawa but none in Windsor, London, hamilton, Toronto and Ottawa.
3. I appreciate Jennifer's opinions in these threads but every time I see her signature picture my brain turns completley to mush.
