I have been hearing this since the days of Terry Venables and Sven Erikkson. Surely, English soccer fans should know better by now? Having said that, it is borderline criminal that they failed to win it in 2021 against a very beatable Italian team.

UEFA have officially confirmed that Denmark finished ahead of Slovenia in Group C because of a yellow card shown to Slovenia assistant coach Milivoje Novaković.
Denmark and Slovenia finished level on points, goal difference, goals scored and yellow cards shown to players.
Now Denmark is meeting Germany and ?after? that Spain.

Lol...Very beatable England had such an easy route to get there...finally met a good team and lost...italy beat a few good teams to get there. They deserved the win.
Holland vs Austria is the most exciting match of the Euros so far. They will both go through (I think), if the Dutch aren't in the R16 it will be a damn shame. Both Holland and Austria can match up with any opposing Selects for pace. They are going to be a huge problem in the knockout phase.

Mancini had the Italian team running like hell against England. And just like now, the England team sat back and just kicked the ball around aimlessly. That is why Italy won, though England was lucky the match went to penalties where a first timer like Saka was entrusted with the crucial penalty kick.
When Foden, Bellingham, Saka play for their clubs, they are full of vigour making runs endlesslly. Here, they just stand around without making runs. That is the main reason for the poor England showing to date. And it will not change. Because Southgate is a poor coach with no imagination.

Seems the afternoon games are more intense Turkey and the Czecks were going at each other at the end brawling , red cards yellow cards.
Amazing Georgia managed to win against Portugal, although portugal is going thru. Ronaldo was right about the guy holding on to his shirt and he got a yellow card for it. Got off the pitch he was angry as hell.

Neither team was anything special. We are talking about Italy who haven't qualified for a world cup since 2014. England scored early and decided to sit back despite playing on home turf and having the quality to score more. The loss is entirely on Southgate.

This Euro has become a midfielder's game whomever can keep up the pace will win. Spain, Austria and Holland are the favorites. Don't count out Germany, they're at home and know how to grind out wins.

Yes they have not qualified for the world's and should have yes... this was Euro a tougher tournament by far...England was regulated in the Nation's league to B and Italy finished 3rd....Italy a far better team then England, even now with new coach and players. The only team that looks unbeatable is Spain...who won the Nation's league...Croatia 2nd so have italy played 2 tough teams already? Absolutely. Italy are young and re setting so not expecting to much, but a decent team fore sure, they will make mistakes that will cost them due to lack of inexperienced at the National level.
So here are my remarks after the group games.
A: Germany is efficient enough. As usual, they could win this having us all yawn to despair.
B: Spain will win this euro if they keep up like that.
C: England plays like a guy who puts goggles on to cut onions... Looking at a green plant growing was more interesting than their 3 games.
D: Austria! The country of Schnitzel impressed. France is sipping Pastis under the sun. Maybe scoring a goal will cross their mind soon...
E: A first in history. 3 bad teams make the round!
F: Portugal can make it unless Ronaldo's ego fuck it up again. Putin must be pissed seeing Georgia make it!
I was sad seeing Modric's phenomenal international career end up like that...
