Well I think it’s fair to say that Nylander should not be the scapegoat for this year.
He was Leafs' best player. He's selfish enough to take some shots instead of always passing.

You must be on drugs. Did you even watch this series? The guy picked up some opportunist points, sure, but beyond that he was absolutely pitiful. The last two games he was embarrassing to watch out there.

I don’t intend to rip Campbell, but that first goal tonight had Patrick Lalime vibes all over it. He let in some painful bad goals against the Leafs in early 2000s even if he had good enough numbers overall.
No denying that was a bad goal. Considering Price was unbeatable that was the game.

I thought Cole Caufield played a very good game.

It seems every time he's out there he's doing something positive.

He kind of reminds me of Mats Naslund a bit sometimes........

Well he doesn't exactly go to the hard areas now does he?

Nylander, marner and even matthews are still not playoffs players. I would trade nylander in a heartbeat.

Price stole it for habs. A regular guy would gave quit after game 4 and moved on to a better team but price stole 3 game in a row. Price is just great.

I’m sad for the Leafs. They deserve better!
Nylander was the best leaf these playoffs. And for $7M is a bargain so he's staying.

The TML simply were not good enough in any way. Scorers all shit the bed. Goaltending was just good when they needed great. Besides Muzzin and Holl, defence was mediocre. Aging forwards ran out of gas. Trade deadline pickups were a bust. When you're still putting Mikhev, Engvall, and Simmonds out there at the end of a close game trying to win key faceoffs and pull out a win, something is very frickin' wrong. Coach was badly out coached. Everyone misjudged just how critical a piece of the puzzle Tavares actually is for this team.
Dubas may pay for this with his job. Nylander, Thornton, Foligno, Spezza, Simmonds, and Engvall all need to go. Brodie is a question mark, Bogosian's done like dinner.
This 'fake' season the Leafs played against crappy teams lulled everyone into thinking this team is far better than it is. Without Campbell's steady play, truth is this team might not even have made the playoffs.
Time for all the Blue Who's down in Blue Whoville to wake up to reality.

Hate is blind. He was clearly their best player. Not their most physical, just their best.

He plays about 2mins of good hockey per game. The rest of the time he's mostly invisible.

...and ignorance seems to be bliss where your hockey knowledge is concerned. How come you're not ripping on Darts right now. Guess when it comes right down to it, that much maligned MTL 'system' you love to rag on so much seems to be working out ok in the end, huh? Wonder what Mr. 'I love facts' will make of that one?

I don't think anybody can be surprised with tonight's result in the sense that we knew Price was going to show up. Marner tries so hard but is not an effective playoff player. Why the hell does he get so much ice time. I know Tavares injury really cut into their forward depth. It's weird that it was thought that we had more depth on this team than previous teams but it didn't play out that way. We were thin at both forward and defense. Christ, we would have lost to Ottawa next week.

Agree Nylander is a get my paycheque player. Get rid of him while some team might think he’s got if.

Just looked at the stats and The Leafs actually out hit them 33 to 29. Whereas most the season they were getting out hit by teams 2 to 1.

So it wasn't from a lack of effort......It could just be that vaunted Habs system that our man Darts has been studying for years and years.

Maybe the usual suspects have some explaining to do.........

Leafs management need to review some of their players’ salaries. Some of the high priced help aren’t pulling their weight in the playoffs.

Is it just me but isn't Morgan Reilly getting worse every year? I'm not referring to tonight but just generally.
He's not really a number one D man from what I saw this year.

He's good but not what was advertised a few years ago.

I don’t think enough attention is being given to the galchenyuk terrible pass early in game 5 ot as the series turning point.

The Habs were in shambles after blowing a 3-0 lead in the 3rd period. The Leafs should have finished them off there.

Gally delivered significant value for a near min contract player, but that was a crucial gaffe.
