If lowry does walk, maybe perhaps try to sign ibaka and go after gordon hayward and for the 1 spot could get a patty mills for a good bargin
Hayward has another year on his contract. While he is a good ball handler he is more of a 2-3 guy than a 1. He would be difficult to pry from Utah, as an RFA he signed with Charlotte(I believe) and Utah matched the offer. If you can get a player(Mills) that has been in the Spurs organization, he is usually a class guy, the word here is IF!
WN888 I like your ideas, just don't think they are likely to happen.

when kyle went down the raptors did okay with the back up pgs. so it is not dire to replace him if there happens to be someone who plays a diffrent position that could help the team.

great point made by a previous poster that even an upgrade in role players who can hit jumpers reliably could improve the team. imagine jv and serge under the basket with demar driving with two snipers waiting for the kick out.

demar has great mid range can get to the line but without guys the defense needs to respect on the perimeter teams can cheat against him.
My guess is DeRozan will work on his 3 point game in the off season, if he starts to consistently hit 3's that will change the way they defend him. The way JV was starting to hit the jumper, don't think he is too far away from hitting 3's either. There has to be perimeter help out there and a guy coming off the bench that can hit the three would be a huge help.

Why didn't DD work on his 3 ball last off season? It was well known that was his flaw. Maybe it's not so easy to develop?

Like Shaq never could learn to do FTs.

Does it matter, it's already been demonstrated that those in control of the NBA will not allow a non-American team to get a sniff at the title. Basketball is very stratified, the team with the best player wins. At the moment it's LBJ, by the end of the decade it will be The Greek Freak. Hope he stays in Milwaukee - don't want to see him in a Lakers jersey.

James Pallotta is going to have a miserable weekend, the Celtics couldn't get it done. And while they sweat out a game 7, LBJ and the Cavs are getting pedicures and taking bubble baths. To add to his misery, Juventus will probably clinch the Serie A scudetto against Roma on Sunday. At least he can console himself in the knowledge that ground has been broken on his showpiece Colosseum II.

The point is to make a team good enough that refs can't fix the game. At some point they have to start calling fouls.

If Vince and TMac had stayed there would have been enough star power that it wouldn't have mattered if it was a team in Canada. And there are US players today who cite Vince as an inspiration.

How's greek freak's English? If not so good he will be like a Dirk, Yao etc.

Interesting to see if the Celtics can win a game or two from Cleveland. If they don't win a single game, they should be considered a bigger disappointment than the Raptors. We would have fared the same without our second leading scorer and our team leader. If they do win a game or two then they fared no better than we did last year? What will they do to get over the hump?

Too bad about K. Leonard. He was a beast in the first 3 quarters. The Zaza foul was horrible and stupid, but I don't think it was on purpose. I thought San Antonio would have beaten Golden State with Leonard Playing. He is now the west version of Lebron. And San Antonio winning would have dispelled all the myths about "small ball" being the only way to go. They are huge, but you still need a super star.

By the way if you look at the foul and watch Zaza run away, you see on his second step running back he again loses his balances and is tilting to the right. He is big and awkward. Closing out a 3 point shooter is not his thing. Just wish it didn't happen.

I agree. I think it was an accident.

Speaking of spurs an article I read suggested that other than Philly another destination for Kyle could be the spurs. IF a sign and trade occurs who or what would we get? Obviously, not manu, tony, or Kawai

Okay I didn't think anyone would have said " At least the Raptors gave the Cavs a better fight " after the Raps got knocked out . Holly shit at home the Celtics losing by close to 50 points .

The Cavs are on a 13 game win streak in the playoffs

Dejounte Murray, Kyle Anderson and a 1st. I'd do it.

Murray is going to be a solid starter in this league. Huge upside! Murray has an incredible basketball IQ, court vision, and will be a solid contributor as an unselfish role player.

Simmons looks pretty good in the playoffs.
Jonathan simmons does look pretty good.

Man the GSW are good they make the Spurs look bad and they are a solid team.

These super teams suck. But one thing I will say is that they are not a new concept. I mean how many HoFers were on the Bill Russell Celtics era? Lakers have had some stacked teams. Even Jordan, Pippen, Rodman is a killer combo.

I look at Durant and it is hard to take him seriously if he wins . Wow if he loses ...

It was hard listening to all the harsh criticism of the Raptors after getting swept. Words like awful and embarrassment, yet here we have a 61 win team possibly getting swept in the playoffs. Won't even mention the 1st place Celtics. 30 mins into this series I really thought San Antonio might win....
It's going to be hard to match these super teams when they've already soaked up all the best 3 pt shooters in the league. I'd like to see a team come out and dominate them inside to win a championship. Crushing them them with size would be awesome; dunking, blocking shots and dominating the boards.....along with some roughing. :)
Ujiri should go after a player of the caliber of Drummond.

Can't say I've seen one 76ers game this year. But I like what you are saying.

Refs have taken the ability to play like the Bad Boy Pistons.

How are you supposed to beat a team of Durant, Curry, Thompson, Green? Especially when even their backups like Javale can break out and start dropping points.

Lebron is the best player but the Warriors have a better roster.

Wow. I bet not too many fans tuned in or finished watching the game last night. Almost gotta wonder whether the Celts are better without Thomas as we may be without Lowry??? Celts haven't won away from home yet this season till they arrived in Cleveland. (I think)
