And this is where we miss Ross and his 3's. I dont see patterson coming back and we are stuck with carrol. What we need is at least 2 guys who can hit 3's.

LeBron must have some of the best synthetic steroids known to man. No other explanation for how he's been able to stay injury-free for his entire career.

I don't have any problems with Powell replacing Ross in the lineup. Powell will be asked to practice shooting 3's till he drops during the off season. The issue is whether or not you have the right coach to devise a game plan that his players can have wide open shots or know where to go to defend ppl shooting 3's at you!
As much as I like Casey I am calling for his replacement. LOL

personally I don't miss Ross at all! Found him to be very inconsistent. He had his moments but they were too few and far between. Now the trade will be a bust if the Raps don't do something more than they have against the Cavs and Ibaka moves on. The idea of the trade, as I understood it, was it would make the Raps competitive against the Cavs, and it hasn't! If Ibaka moves elsewhere trade was for naught! They still need to sign him as they don't have a starting 4.

I don't think Ibaka playing at 100% healthy. Didn't he hurt his ankle or something at the end of the regular season? Patterson's as well don't think his knee is fully recovered.

Powell will be great next year. Can do without Ross. Liked the kid, but not a superstar. Hope Ibaka stays. Don't have a problem with Tucker either unless he eats up payroll. But he's been pretty consistent with his 3 point shooting in the playoffs. Patterson is such a liability on the offensive side. Why is he considered a 3 point shooter when I've never seen him get hot from out there, and never hits one at clutch time. Looking forward to seeing Delon Wright progress too. I hope someone can teach him to get nasty.
Unfortunately I can see the case for not re-signing Lowry. But if he does stay i'll support that decision as well. Free agents aren't beating down the doors to come to Toronto. Quality guys that want to stay are a blessing. I really can't see why the haters are around for Derozan. He just doesn't have anyone other than Lowry most of the season in a supporting role. Powell might get there. Ibaka is a threat too, but one other lights out 3 point shooter would help. Cleveland has about 4 of them surrounding Lebron. 2 of those are absolute snipers and the other two or three are pretty damn good. Cleveland vs Golden State will be a real 3 point exhibition!....but there is obviously some great inside players as well on both teams.

I can't wait for the third straight year of watching the Cavs and Warriors in the finals. It's really pointless to watch the rest of the playoffs when everyone knows what the final result will be.

Hey I believe the record for teams coming back from 0 and 3 is something like 0 and 120. Go Raptors I say! Can't do something truly unbelievable unless you start in a position where nobody gives you a chance! It's why we buy lottery tickets isn't it? Even though most people don't truly understand the odds when doing so.

I don't miss Ross. His price tag to performance ratio is not flattering. He is not a consistent scorer or defender.

If the open 3's does not get addressed look for the Cavs to sweep.

I do think the problem with the Raptors is in their heads they know they can't beat Lebron . The Cavs aren't going to sweep their next opponent .
This franchise is at a cross road ...

Whatever they do they have to continue branding themselves as a place that players would want to sign on to.

So as much as it pains me I think they may have to sign Kyle to max money or find a way to sign and trade (unlikely).

If they don't they will be known as the place that doesn't keep their stars (Demar) happy.

This was at least a close game but the first three were blow outs. This was not mental, even if we hit more shots the Cavs were shooting lights out threes.

So definitely a crossroads.... whatever path they choose needs to be one that doesn't mortgage the future and look attractive for free agents.

Lowry is going back to Philly. Think a sign and trade will be done so that he gets the most money via a max deal. Maybe the Raps get Stauskas. Can't see them getting much more than that...

Raps weren't going to win games without Derozan or Lowry. Wizards won't win without John Wall. Boston certainly won't win any games against Cleveland without Thomas. Hey a couple years ago The Cavs couldn't get past San Antonio without a healthy Kyrie Irving. Hey like Leo said we need to play at our absolute best and Cleveland would have to come across some adversity. Even then it was unlikely we win the series. Neither happened. Ours included Lowry getting injured. Cleveland has a ton of firepower. Channing Frye is like having Robert Horry. Kyle Korver off the bench??? Jack Armstrong said it. What was Atlanta thinking. Trading him to a division Rival??? And 3 All Stars to our 2 but their Irving and Lebron far out Trumps DeRo and Lowry....one more year to try again....

Season over for the Raps, on the upside, Armstrong off the air at least until next season! Raps have decisions to make: Lowery will assuredly exercise his early termination option and become a free agent. At one time I would have thought he was a salary max guy, not sure he is anymore, IMO Raps would be foolish to offer him an extended max contract. Patterson, Ibaka and Tucker all are free agents. Think they need to bring at least two of these three back. Got a lot of youngsters that are certainly tradable for the right price. Not sure what you do with Bruno and Bebe as they just have not progressed, and have another year on their contracts. And then there is Coach Casey, he brings a lot and has had some success, but can he move them forward????
Raps biggest need appears to be a player that can hit consistently from the perimeter and still play "D" reasonably well. If Kyle moves, can Joseph replace him with Wright and VanVleet as the back ups? or do you have to find a proven PG?
Rap fans should find the off season interesting!

If lowry was smart he would take a pay cut and go to the spurs. As for the raps, if lowry does indeed go maybe we should look at jrue? Although he's injury prone, but when hes healthy the guy can score and defend, great 2 way player. He would blend in well with our team and coming to his prime. I dont think joseph is starter material maybe just a decent back-up.

The fallout for being swept by the Cavs could result in the firings of Casey's assistance coaches. Casey may stay but he might like to hear fresher ideas from someone else for the new season.

If Vanvleet can shoot the 3's on a regular basis,he could displace Joseph. I believe Joseph is more expensive in a back up role to keep around.

listened to some of the player's end of season interviews this morning, both Lowery and Tucker had great things to say about Toronto and the Raptor organization. Both indicated they would like to be back, but both were smart enough to leave their options open. If Ibaka and Patterson were interviewed, I missed it, but would expect you would get the same type of response.

Interesting that Lowry ends the year on the DL. with all the opinions that he could go back to Philly, they've just had too many problems with injuries. Interesting to see if they would take on another guy with such history.
I can't imagine us taking Stauskas. They won't give up Simmons or Embid. They have plenty of length on their team, so if we could get Covington, that would be awesome, but if we aren't in a bargaining position we might have to settle for Gerald Henderson.
