If I were to list very single nomination (Technical included) the list would be far too long. I listed the more accessible ones in order to include as many posters as possible within the conversation.

My favourite movie of the year wasn't nominated for Best Picture, nor was its director.

FYI, a recent study of Oscar judges revealed the following:

The study, carried out by a team from the Los Angeles Times, found that 94 per cent were white, 77 per cent men and their average age was 62, with only14 per cent under 50. Black and Hispanic voters accounted for only 2 per cent each.

I popped in and out of the show broadcast and was glad to see Plummer finally get some recognition, but almost lost my dinner when Anjolina walked on stage, WTF. She looked like a 6 week old corps, with the red lipstick and that chicken leg so strategically laid bare for the lens. Her bow looked like he OD'd on the heat lamp. Those two clowns personify much of what makes Hollywood truly LalaLand.

Well folks it looks like The Academy will never stop sniffing glue.

The Artist will be placed in the same bin with My Fair Lady, Ordinary People and Shakespeare in Love. Nobody remembers these films but everyone knows about the films they beat out; Dr Strangelove, Raging Bull, Saving Private Ryan and The Tree of Life.
