Not sure what you mean by "he couldn't stop after the crash." By the looks of that car, I'd say it didn't go anywhere once it came to a stop.

Not sure what to tell you. Again, the quote is "the breaks didn't work AFTER the crash", and it was reported he tried to get away, so I don't know what else it could be.

Unless I'm misreading it and it's saying "after the crash, the kid said his breaks weren't working properly (before the crash happened)".

That it reads though is after the crash his breaks were no longer working.

He did 4 years out of an 8 year sentence, but since this kid is only 16, he probably will not get any time unfortunately.
