I still use my netbook just because it can do more (e.g. I made it to tri-boot OSX Tiger, UBUNTU distro and Tiny XP) but the general public don't care... all they want is tablets esp. iPad. Netbooks are not in fashion anymore.
If you can practice on a (manual) Honda. I find them easier to launch and to shift. Don't learn how to drive stick on a German car - it will just frustrate you to no end as a newbie.
I installed 10.04 Natty on a virtual machine. Everything was fine. Then, I upgraded to 10.11. Now, I can only log on to GNOME Classic and can not log on to native ubuntu environment (Failed to load session "ubuntu"). Must be some package dependence issue but WTF
