? FIFA affect on booking an SP ... ?

I haven't changed my habits other than avoiding downtown since it started, but I don't go there too often anyway. I've talked to a few providers who live there and said there's a pretty big increase in traffic and crowds on game days.

I haven't noticed any more difficulty booking SPs. In fact I've noticed that some agencies seem to have thinner rosters right now. I figured some agencies like SFT and DD would bring in more touring providers but it hasn't really happened. I don't use LL so maybe there's increased activity there.

Just saw one of my favs tonight in West end. She worked Saturday night and Sunday night DT. She said she was busy with regular clients not the huligan kinds Saturday night and slow Sunday night.

Well, I was shocked to see hotel prices now. I was last in Sauga for a week in May, and since I saw in June, hotel prices have tripled most of June and early July. Now, looking at the monthly chart, they went way down in July. In fact, August, when I tentatively plan my next trip, is a bit higher than in July! Just under $200/night for most of July and the mid-$200s for most of August. My last trip was free since I had enough Marriott points to use and still have enough for a few nights. (Residence Inn and prices are $CDN with all fees and taxes).

Airline costs are bouncing around up and down, varying by about a $100 each way as I monitor prices. I have been using Porter Reserve to YYZ (from PHX), but the Reserve pricing has skyrocketed compared to extra-legroom economy. I am always torn between AA, where I have about 300k FF miles, and Porter. But I hate the connection through Chicago on AA vs. a direct on Porter, and there are no 3 seats. A few weeks ago, I used miles on AA to Portland, but I am 6-1 and need more legroom to be comfortable on any longer flight, given only a 30-inch pitch in AA economy and no premium economy, even making reservations two months in advance.
