Second time through the order, Max Scherzer is throwing batting practice. Sad to see. Even journey man Roger Clemens's son hit a home run. Five to one for the twins with nobody out and bases loaded in the third. Oh wait, make that six to one with a sack fly… And Mad Max just got pulled.

lol, I'm not exactly sure why I'm posting this play-by-play.

I watched the LA Angels vs. NY Yankees game last night on Sportsnet; I found that game to be more entertaining than what I've getting from the Jays recently.

The Jays will be playing the Angels on the last leg of this nine day road trip. Milwaukee Brewers tonight.

Hoffman tried to give tonight's game away. Thankfully Jays came back and Varland closed it for the win in extra innings

Varland should be the closer.

Hoffman should be optioned to AAA; but the pitching staff is so banged up we can't afford to do that right now.

Yesavage might rejoin the team for the series against the LA Angels.

Hoffman has had some good outings with good sutff (and bad ones too of course), that a change in role is the best initial alternative. See how he reacts to that.

His stuff has been pretty good this year. Perhaps in a lower pressure but still leverage role (6th-8th) he will react better.

I think Yesavage probably makes 2 more starts in AAA to try to get a little sharper.
Its been a struggle for him.

Last night or the night before?...Last night the Angels blew their doors off.

April 13th; Final Score 10-11 in favor of the Yankees; the game ended on a Passed Ball in the Bottom of the 9th and the Yankees had a man on third who came into score.

Young Bo is having a tough time in Queens The Mets are dysfunctional, they have more money than brains. The worst part for Bo, he playing in front of Islanders fans. Some say the club would be better off without Juan Soto.

This should give Philip a chubby:

Miller passes Jones for second-longest scoreless streak in Padres history

Mason Miller Career Stats

His scoreless streak dates back to early last August.

For 2026, one hit and one walk allowed in 9 ⅓ innings pitched, with 23 strikeouts; 28/30 batters faced have been retired. Luis Arreaz had a single against him.
lol No buddy, that doesn't give "Philip a chubby" but what does is the possibility of the Jays now using Varland in save situations… It's about time.

If the Blue Jays can release Chad Green, I don't know what's stopping them from releasing Jeff Hoffman.

Something rotten in Queens, the NY Mets are 7-15 with a $350 million pay roll. They have the second highest payroll after the Dodgers. At least Young Bo is enjoying himself.

Too bad Gibby is not the bench boss of the boys in Queens anymore. He very well could've been next in line if there was a Mets manager change. He's with the Angels now. Maybe tonight's telecast will talk to him. I missed yesterday's pregame, so maybe they already did.
