No one in their right mind would make any kind of deal with Trump.
You have no idea how desperate the situation on the battlefield to Ukraine is.
Conclusion of the deal will not result in an immediate ceasefire. But without
the deal signed you can be sure more Ukrainians are going to be killed and more
infrastructures destroyed in the coming days.
If I were Zelensky I would have two options to consider.
I would first look to how the leaders of Germany avoided the responsibillity
of decision-making in ensuing peace talks near the end of WWI. Erich Ludendorff
and Kaiser Wihelm ll just stepped down so the ones to negotiate peace with the
allies were scapegoated later for the loss of the war.
Alternatively I would go ahead to sign the mineral deal. After hostlities
end on the battlefield and some sort of ceasefire agreement with Putin
reached I would see to it exploration and preliminary devlopmental works
on Ukraine's rare mineral mines would proceed smoothly. Once I decided
that sufficient capital expenditures have been channeled into mining operations
for Ukraine to take over I would nationalize all the U.S. controlled mines, kick
out American miners and confiscate their properties and mining equipments
The 2nd option which is a mission on the goal to defeat American
imperialistm may take some years to accomplish. Zelensky may have
to count on his successor to get the job done.
He's liar, cheat and a bad faith negotiator who breaks the deals he makes and constantly moves the goal posts. In short, an assclown of the highest order. The only time he ever told the truth was when he said whoever signed the USMCA was an idiot. Right on, Don, because it was you who signed that trade deal that you are now breaking.....idiot!
