Sorry to interrupt yet another discussion about why immigration and race are still the most important issues to the MAGA base, but this is quite something:
Today FIFA, who has been worried about american support for the world cup next year, decided the best plan was to make up a 'peace award' to give to trump.
The best way to gain support is to treat him like a toddler and give him a fake medal.
He really comes across as child like, as a dementia riddled mind that has been fixated on not winning the Nobel like his election losses.
This is so embarrassing.

Part of the issue with the weaker dollar is that we did benefit from having it in the sense that we could build things cheaper to the US. But, it also crimped investment because the majority of industrial machinery needed to modernize production is foreign built. Germany, France, US, Japan, all expect to be paid in USD, Euros or Yen. A weak CAD does not give ANY advantage to things like that. And Canada has done a lot to make things easier for companies, like lowering their tax rate. Did that increase capital investments? Not really.
He just kissed ass for the job.
But all talk of trump being a nazi is fair because of it.

Even the U.S. imports capital goods from abroad. The other inputs Canadian labor at 72 cents U.S. and the abundant raw materials per capita are the advantage. If you were really interested and open-minded, you could read one of the Canadian banks' good white papers on Canadian productivity and business investment.
I have often heard the Canadian economy compared to the Australian economy. The Australian economy is thousands of miles away from all the other major markets. China is the closest and a brutal competitor only interested in commodities. Canada's proximity to the U.S. market is an incredible geographic advantage.
I don't think the Canadian corporate tax rates are low considering both Federal and Provincial rates. Canadian government policy such as taxation and regulation is more comparable to the European framework. However, Europe struggles with its own growth and productivity. Canada is also not in Europe.
But upon further investigation, Conservatives tend to be happier than Lefties.
