A hard-hitting and powerful look at hockey's moment of reckoning in Canada, and the ways in which a game that is so universally loved has been rocked in recent years by court cases involving sexual assault...www.penguinrandomhouse.com
You're Wrong...follow the testimony!'' When the players learned that the alleged victim had reported the incident to the police, they allegedly threatened her to drop the complaint. ''
A blatant lie in the first paragraph....
alleged and allegedly used in the same sentence = click bait.'' When the players learned that the alleged victim had reported the incident to the police, they allegedly threatened her to drop the complaint. ''
A blatant lie in the first paragraph....
And what the fuck does that mean? You're Wrong...follow the testimony!
McLeod told her in a message the next day "A lot of people could get harmed by this, including you".
Hey stupid...the point I was making is she was threatened the next day and it wasn't a blatant lie.And what the fuck does that mean?
You think maybe her reputation would get ripped apart like these players?
What, teenage players are going to call a hit squad on her?
You're too fucking much man, your obsession with destroying these guys
We know what point you're making, you made it before you heard any evidence. As smart a thing as I've ever heard.Hey stupid...the point I was making is she was threatened the next day and it wasn't a blatant lie.
These guys destroyed themselves...
It wasn't just one message that he sent her. He hounded her with texting from 10 in the morning till 7 pm. Untill she told him what he wanted to hear. It just shows the power dynamic that could've been going on in the room. And what the fuck does that mean?

Dillon Dube, Cal Foote ,Carter Hart were 19....Alex Formenton was 18.Teenage players is what you're calling them ? Most were 20
So if closing arguments end this week, the Judge will have about 6 weeks to prepare for decision day…there is a lot of evidence but going over the testimony of E.M and the players won’t be easy…
Looks like this going to take a lot long than was anticipated.

E.M answered some questions with a very confident “No, absolutely not” which was good but answered a couple with “that doesn’t sound like me”, those wishy-washy answers make it tough to wack someone with a sexual assault conviction.
The players weren’t great either with all the “memory loss”, remembering things that help them but not the ones that harm them…McLeod lied in the police interview, Howden did the “memory loss” thing 18 times in regards to not remembering answers to questions that he previously answered and Carter Hart didn’t seem very trustworthy to me, he said “if anyone showed her disrespect I would have put an end to it”, Hart apparently got 2 blowjobs but only remembers one…the players say they were too drunk to remember but say she was sober.
It’s a tough decision…
My mistake. I was also thinking of all the other men in the room , like Brett Howden , Tyler SteenburgenDillon Dube, Cal Foote ,Carter Hart were 19....Alex Formenton was 18.
Hahaha...you give Howden a pretty easy pass, he did remember what he needed too, just 18 times he couldn't remember the bad stuff...c'mon, you can't really believe that it was the concussion that caused it and not him purposely doing "I can't remember" 18 times to do the players a solid.
Howden's memory loss I'll excuse...I think I read where he was out for 9 minutes after this.
The players are going to walk..There is reasonable doubt here.
Its not a tough decision to me. There's no evidence to suggest that E.M. was too drunk to consent. There is no evidence she was held there against her will. There is evidence to suggest that she initiated the sexual contact but then had regrets when she sobered up.So if closing arguments end this week, the Judge will have about 6 weeks to prepare for decision day…there is a lot of evidence but going over the testimony of E.M and the players won’t be easy…

The judge ruled that Howden wasn't feigning memory loss. He's had zero contact with any of the players involved since 2018 so its not a case of him deliberately covering up for his buddies. He's also on record saying that any previous statements he made to investigators in 2018 and again in 2022 he stands by. Is there anything in his statements that is damning, I don't believe so.
